Sir Keir Starmer

The Arcuri report is due to be released today, having been held back pre- election.
It would be very surprising if anything comes of it. But, who knows

Due in a few minutes. My prediction would be not enough evidence to warrant a prosecution. Cue the Boris Is Innocent banners on the Mail and Express.

Well, there we are.

IOPC Director General Michael Lockwood said: "While there was no evidence that Mr Johnson influenced the payment of sponsorship monies or participation in trade missions, there was evidence to suggest that those officers making decisions about sponsorship monies and attendance on trade missions thought that there was a close relationship between Mr Johnson and Ms Arcuri, and this influenced their decision-making. "

See also (March 2018)....

Boris Johnson has said that he cannot recall why he signed a key directive as London mayor that contributed to the loss of more than £40m of public money on the city’s garden bridge.

Anyone would think there was a pattern.

It is worthless it’s part of a bygone era like most of the parliamentary system. Are you saying you think PMQs has any influence on the electorate? Do you believe it can sway voters from one party to another?

What does every report consist of? Left leaning? Right leaning? Independent analysis. How many reports is there on PMQs?

As stated Johnson won’t fall. He is the most popular and most recognisable conservative politician (fact) his rating is at 40% and the tories hold a 15 point lead over labour. Not that it matters. He is recognised by 99% of the population. He’s the golden goose for the tories. A Tory not viewed as a Tory by most.
His head is on the chopping block.
Even Rees-Mogg the demon headmaster wants parliament back with people in it as he knows Johnson can't keep on deflecting without been goaded.

I see Boris has reversed the NHS surcharge for foreign health workers. That’s quite a flip from 24 hrs ago. Surely this is in part due to the highlighting and pressure applied by Starmer. In my opinion, that’s a sign that he is performing well as the leader of the opposition. Highlighting issues, applying pressure, resulting in Government changing policy for the better (in my opinion).

Unbelievably corrupt. When are people in this country actually going to stand up against their money being syphoned off to the elite (financial not liberal, who have never been the elite) and their friends.

It isn't significant that he failed to answer them sadly. What is significant is he managed to deflect them.

At least half the country don't care, or don't know about, politics. They are to ignorant to realise he's batting away questions because they are taken in by his charm. This is the problem with modern politics. Keir could be as methodical as a surgeon, slowly and patiently , over the course of the next four years, dismantling everything Johnson says until it's obvious to anyone that cares he's a lying, incompetent charlatan.

Then, the day before the election: Bozo runs around the country with a union jack shouting "We got Brexit done" and there you have it. 5 more years of misery.
A bit like Corbyn?

Where is his statement re the Cummings disgrace?
He'l probably stay out of it. Seems to be picking his battles. No matter how much Cummings broke the rules, no matter how bad his actions, the Borisettes will defend him to the hilt. So no point getting involved.
