Pepsi & McDonald’s as normal in Russia! Boycott them !

And what of the innocent Russians who would lose their already **** poor paying jobs? Nah screw them they live in Russia and they should be knocking down Putin's 10 layers of armed guards, getting their drills out and busting into his bunker.

No one is blaming the average Russian in the street, but losing your job though unfortunate, kind of pales into insignificance when compared to watching your children being killed in front of you.
The more pressure on ordinary Russians the more chance eventually of regime change.

Exactly this, cant help but feel the wrong people are being targeted by some of these sanctions

The power of ordinary people was important in getting rid of dictators like Gaddafi, Ceaușescu and even The Soviet Union. It's not beyond hope that may help get rid of Putin.

Which I agree with. But punishing common working russian runs the very real risk of turning even the most westernised Russian against the West. Especially now that Putin has limited or turned off access to outside media.

I don’t think you understand why we have economic sanctions…

Yes I completely understand that and the reasons behind them, but with the state level of control over the media and how it will be interpreted wont that just push the average citizen further away from the west? If the strategy behind that is to push them to rise up to their government I cant exactly see it making much of a difference
