Are the Government massaging the death rate.

1817 infections in Teesside and 311 in North Yorkshire in South Tees hospital district.

Just 2 new cases across the area.
I thought VE day was supposed to bring an apocalyptic tidal wave of cases that nobody would survive?

I mean, apart from the extreme exaggeration on your behalf, VE day was only a week ago? Have you not been seeing how long this virus seems to incubate?

Will be a spike in infections regardless. Germany had one after they released the public.
Yeah we'll get that next week. Hope there isn't a VE day spike.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't down here. VE day was ludicrously busy and since Wednesday everyone seems business as usual here

1817 positive tests in Teesside and 312 in North Yorkshire in South Tees hospital district.

No new cases across Teesside! One new case in North Yorkshire in South Tees hospital district.

The positive tests appear to be Pillar 1 only. These are most likely the more serious, a large proportion of which end up in hospitalisation.

Across the country, just over 30% of cases are Pillar 4.
