The thing is the form we had before January upgrades was top 2 at averaging 2.2 pts per game under wilder . So by that logic you’d expect us to atleast maintain that form and eventually get top 2 .
Beating Blackburn wba and qpr prior to the rearranged Fulham game will set us up .
“ These Times Are A-Changing” 👍😉

With wilder in charge now after all of Neil's efforts and misfortune, where do you think we can finish?

5th for me
Think we may too far away for the top 2, although Fulham are due a blip, the next four games will tell us a lot i think play offs are realistic. I would really fancy our chances of us going up through that route.

I don't think we're clinical enough.
7 goals in 3 games. Our average gpg is climbing. It actually isn't that bad to begin with, it's 1.25 with Wilderr, and the average over all top european leagues is 1.31.

A bit below average still, but not by very much., In the next5 games it will climb again.

What was it under Wornhock?
It wouldnt be anywhere near now if that pudding had stayed a day longer.

I banged £20 on at 20/1 with sky bet last Friday for a top 2 finish. I'd had a few drinks though😂 (edit... Just looked now 16/1)

It's still definitely possible if we remotely keep up this form. I'm genuinely expecting us to win every game (I've not felt like that for years)

I'd say a play off position would be success. Although I always say that as in if you don't win them is it really 'success?'

last season shows it doesn't always work out like that, it depends how quickly you can integrate the players into the system.

Be interesting to see how we get on at Blackburn and QPR, but I'd take losses in those if we beat Coventry and Derby at home, lose Bristol City away and beat WBA at home. That would be 9 points from 18.

If we can average nearly 2 points a game from those 6 games, then I'll be very happy, as the games after that are much easier.

I'd rest some players against Man Utd, the 6 games around that are far more important and we don't need the FA Cup distraction.

Avoiding key injuries in those 6/7 games would be great too, but we've got good cover all over the pitch now, just don't want multiple injuries in the same area.

Need to keep Fry, McNair, Jones and Crooks fit, and if we do that then I think we'll make the playoffs comfortably.

Never been Fry's biggest fan, but he's been great under wilder, and we've stopped conceding goals, and especially daft goals.

After we win it, having European football to offer new signings in the PL could prove decisive in getting deals over the line early though..........

  that would be some feat!

Joking aside, we're not going to get there, but would you take getting to the FA Cup final, against a top 10 side over promotion? I wouldn't, and probably wouldn't even take winning it (with the risks the additional games come with), over that.

The FA Cup has lost it's interest to me, especially when outside the top flight. Yeah, fair enough go for it when you're going to be comfortable in the Prem and not have a chance of top 4, as there's nothing else you can do, but for everyone else it's too much of a distraction. It's a target for teams in the prem from 5th to 14th I think.

I don't even value that it gets you in Europe, as you're only there for one season and players know it's a one off, so probably wouldn't sign because of that, unless they knew there was a massive cash injection coming too.
