Boro season tickets

Wrong.....Allowing what you suggest just devalues the ST and It will never happen for that reason. The club rightly protects it's hardcore ST holders and so it should. Where would attendances be over the last few years without then. Stop being naive...
Thanks
Devalues the season ticket šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

People pay Ā£600 plus for 23 games - people pay Ā£300 for 12 games. Simple. We dont sell out - get the money in. Might pay for Balogunā€™s loan fee.

I get where your coming from Nobby and ST should be protected because of the upfront commitment. Id never thought of it before but just think theyā€™d sell a lot. People with birthdays in feb and March might ask for one along with those who jump on for the last 6 games to get in for next season

would they renew next season if we're still in the championship?

Suddenly have the disposable income because weve won a few games/made some new signings (none who ive heard of)/the feel good factor has returned since Warnock departed

These people would probably expect their free drink back too if theyre ex season card holders!

Fair play to those who got a wilder card as theyll now probably get the earlybird prices when the renewals come out in march/april which is a massive discount on new take ups

Of course it devalues the ST...
If you want to go to the match when things are going well you pay walk up prices....otherwise there is absolutely no point in having an ST and committing at the start of the season. The club make one exception, the half season ticket at Xmas.
As such what you suggest will never happen, it's financial suicide....like I say stop being naive.
Thanks

Surprising they don't do this. Must be a reason but I can't think of it.
There isnā€™t Gains in my opinion but there are always those who seem to get offended when you come up with new marketing ideas to increase the crowd - like Nobster who for some reason thinks selling a half season ticket at say just over half the price of a full one an affrontery to existing season ticket holders (who retain their benefits of getting away tickets ahead of newcomers Etc). Other than that itā€™s no skin off their noses.

Yeah they might sell a few granted....
It sounds like a good idea when things are going well in the short term BUT if it devalues the ST and if some of those ST holders decide to lapse as a result, then when things aren't going so well your attendances drop like a stone and you end up in trouble.
If you can't see that you should still be at school šŸ¤£

Season ticket snobbery šŸ˜†

Remember Forest? Don't we want that every game? Who cares when people buy their tickets? Or how much they pay? I want a full ground and don't care that I paid up front, and they didn't.
So you also vote for an empty ground when things aren't going so well....you can't have both sorry....
Thanks

No school on match days Nobby.
Itā€™s the law

Iā€™m a season ticket holder and would have no qualms about the Club selling a block of home games now - say parcels of 5 and 10 at slightly under walk up prices. Makes financial sense to me.

Fair enough but that's not what the others have said is it. They said you should be able to buy an ST at any time at a pro rata price.
You're saying 'slightly under walk up prices'

Completely different discussion....

You're saying 'slighlty under walk up prices'

It is but they canā€™t help that you are a bit dim. Im sure thatā€™s what is meant when I read buy a half season ticket for ā€œover half the price of a full oneā€.

I think you need to read the post again, I don't mind the half season card option at Xmas.
Perhaps you're the one who's a 'bit dim'

There should be a hierarchy of value in favour of those who have and do commit for the longest, earliest.

1. Season ticket for longest term season card holders at lowest price per match up front as Early Birds. These people should get better additional benefits too (drinks - but we really should move on from this, for operational simplicity)
2. Season ticket for new season card holders at a higher price per match pre-season.
3. Single match (walk up) prices at a premium to the season card price per match for new card holders.
4. Half season Card in December at premium price per match versus new season card price (2) but below the matchday price per match.

The real key is the staging of discounts/premiums and making it simple to communicate.

I find myself amazingly in partial agreement with Nobby in that I don't believe someone wanting to buy now a commitment for the last ten games or so should get the same or similar discount from matchday prices that someone who bought their first full season ticket in early August. I think they had their chance in December - and by the way will have it again in the summer. But there should be some encouragement to commit beyond a single match.

I say all this wanting a full stadium, not wanting to alienate anybody and as a Gold Card holder who thinks the discount between matchday and my price per match is far too high.

As a principle and purely an illlustration. Please don't beat me up on the specific numbers and I am aware there are different prices in different stands and blocks.

Gold Card/Long term SC holder Ā£20 per match, but plus best non price benefits and most loyalty points
New SC Holder to end August Ā£22 per match (10% premium to cheapest), fewer non price benefits and far fewer loyalty points.
Single Match Price Ā£26 per match.(30% premium to cheapest, 18% premium to new card holder)
Half Season Card Ā£24 per match. (20% premium to cheapest, but 8% discount v single match prices.
The percentages could be different, but it is the tiered principle I think needs to be better defined.

Ruddy good post šŸ‘

Eh? No, I want a full ground regardless of how we're doing and they can raffle off tickets or give them to NHS staff or whatever, I'm not a***d. I've missed the atmosphere we had on Boxing Day and would like it more thank you v much :)
