What's the chances of Boris resigning?

He won't resign. I do think he has been told he is going. He was very contrite in pmqs today and repeated over and over that he was responsible. I think he was paving the way for his successor to pretend they weren't part of this government and the decisions they have taken.

None for me. Ever since May was able to keep her job after a succession of sht shows, seems it's nigh on impossible to get a decency resignation from our politicians

Zero. They all want him gone but nobody wants to take over right now. They want to be able to blame the whole Covid mess on him and draw a line under it and have a fresh start with a new leader but they can't do that yet.

I think that'll be the issue, I can still see a bit of time passing before he's forced out. And he doesn't have the conscience or decency to resign

Interestingly in 45 minutes of PMQ today, he never once said he would not resign.
He just kept telling people to wait for the report.
I think he knows his time is up.

An overweight right wing toad with terrible hair who can't seem to dress himself properly? Seems pretty like Trump to me TBH.
I’m not talking about the person I’m talking about the system.

boris can’t cling on to Power or be dragged kicking and screaming he’s out he’s out.

He lives in his own exceptionalist world where he can not be wrong - misguided but not wrong. If he makes a mistake he plays the mischievous schoolboy and believes he can just follow the old song "pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again", trouble is many believe his bullsh*t despite the lack of evidence that he is contrite.

He's managed to hoodwink the masses up to now, but the number of people who are turning against him - including the media - make his tenure very uncertain, he is on the edge. It would only take another nudge I feel to send him over, has Cummings another hugely damaging morsel locked, loaded and ready to fire?

Of course he won't resign. Being PM is the culmination of his lifes work up to now. He's not going to give that up easily.

And I think a lot of folk overestimate how quickly the party would force him out. Yes he's getting pelters, but he's the leader who got them the kind of majority they haven't had since the 80s. They'll be desperate for him to turn public opinion round.
