Matt Crooks

maybe not, but there are plenty of class players that could play in the prem Jon Swift (Reading), Ben Diaz (Blackburn), Dickie (QPR), Chair (QPR), Souttar (Stoke), Gibbs-White (SU). Loads of players that are clearly better than any of ours. Any of those players would massively improve us in quality, are good enough to play in the top 3 teams, and probably in the prem.
Some decent creative players there (albeit Gibbs-White is a PL player already I think?). Brereton looks a good player, as does Souttar, Swift has been so up and down the last few seasons I'm not sure many PL clubs would take a punt.

The one I've been most impressed with was Chris Willock, he looks a really top player in the making. QPR seem to have a very productive academy.

Crooks was excellent again today, can't remember him wasting a pass, played some great through balls (including a superb pass for the second) and won a lot of possession too. Him and Tavernier are looking good in the more advanced midfield roles.

Thought Howson had a great game too, his best of the season.

At the end of the Warnock days he was guilty of overplaying, trying too many one touch flicks around the corner and smartarse touches, instead of laying it simple and utilising his size and athletic advantages. He's doing it now. and is improving all the time

He was class again. Love the understanding he has developed with Jones down the right. He knows Jones is going to make a run in behind, so is always looking to play him in, and also appreciated his little knock-ons for Jones when we decided to go long.

Just goes to show what can happen when you keep playing the same players within the same system.

I like Crooks, he is deceptive, nice to have his height in the middle too, his biggest failing is getting caught in possession, but i love his tackling ability to win possession back, although he does sail a little close to the wind at times. He has proven to be a bargain buy, a good championship midfielder.

Another thing I like about him is that he plays on the edge. He was that touch of 'shithousery' about him but I like it.

Thanks to NW he’s definitely been the “find” of the season. Reminds me a lot Ray Kennedy — stylish midfielder who can also fit in anywhere.

Another great performance from him, his style is very easy on the eye too, really looks after the ball.

He's got bags of technical ability and could play at a higher level I think.
