Did anyone hear Neil Warnock on Talksport this morning?

I think we were right to go for Wilder but theres no doubt in my mind without NW we would have been playing the Mackems this season in Div 3.
He did a great job for us .
I agree for the first 8 months. We were going down under Woodgate, and Warnock saved us. He had a good 4 months after that at the start of the following season but then it fell apart badly

thing is they were his players and it was his job to make them click and he couldn't, so he was a failure
Kebano and Bolasie were excellent for us and clearly better players than anything we had at the club....Neil should be applauded for getting them here. How you can use those 2 players as a reason to call Neil a failure is simply ludicrous tbh....

If Wilder achieves promotion using the same core of players that Warnock couldn't get past mid-table, how does that reflect positively on Warnock?
In fact don't bother answering, you're either on a wind-up or a nutter. Warnock on a par with Karanka? Jesus wept. The only equal comparison is that they were both crap in the Premier league.
Don’t answer because my opinion/point of view differs from yours.. therefore I’m on a wind up (which I’ve clearly stated I’m not) or that I’m a nutter.. because anyone who disagrees with your point of view is insane?

Neil Warnock did one hell of a$hit job here. Kept us up but it still went down to the last day its not like he came in and won every game. Regardless that squad should of never been in that situation. A semi competent manager would of hadus mid table but we had woodgate. Theres no comparison between karanka and Warnock and none between Mowbray / Karanka and Warnock / Wilder. Whilst I like Mowbray he ultimately failed here and aside from Friend, Leadbitter and Adomah who all became the players they were because of Karanka not Mowbray .more right place right manager rightthan some esoteric football insight from TW. In fact, I would suggest that with AK many of those players we hold in high regard would of faded into obscurity at our or other clubs. We're well shot of Warnock man is a buffoon and a naffe football manager. You cant compare that idiot to our best manager in the last 10 years, its just embarrassing. Pulis was better than Warnock and he was crap and systematically and purposefully got rid of our best players but still managed 7th place at worse. Give it a rest
Tony Pulis was massively overrated, he made dreadful decisions and made some aweful signings. Wasted a hell of a lot of money., and talent.

I couldn't understand him signing three wingers at the time, especially considering Johnson and Tav were performing well. It was obvious we needed a no 10 and a striker at the time.

We failed to bring in strikers, so we upped the quality on the wings. I would say Bolasie and Mendez-Laing were gambles. It with an eye firmly on the playoffs. Injuries to Fry and Tav had a huge impact and dented our chances.

No, because your Karanka/Warnock comparison sounds like the musings of a nutter.

Pulis wasted money on Saville (vastly over paid for him) and Flint. His other money purchase, Paddy McNair has been a successful acquisition. Flint ironically was bought off us by Warnock.

Flint for £4m after we’d just spent £7m

Ignoring the amount for the moment you said he made some “awful signings”. The worst one went on to be bought by “yer mate”.

The point is Pulis and Warnock both made bad signings.

There are only 2 diffrences between Pulis and Warnock, 1) Pulis is dour compared to Warnock, 2) Pulis is a more successful manager than Warnock

I agree, he was awful. Cant stand him but he was still better than Warnock. Thats the point I was making. No one would say we were lucky to have Pulis or compare his time here tothat of Karanka's

It should be, but you keep trying to saddle Karanka with 15 games he had nothing to do with.
nothing compared to folks turning eight games into a full season.. and carrying on an end of season downturn into the following season.

Warnock improved us Pulis did not.

Which is exactly what Warnock did.
Who did that?
C’mon you must have read the posts!

Fry being injured, Tav being injured then Britt downing tools had little to do with the start of this season. The loss of Dijksteel—Hall—Fry —Bola cost us points and dropped Warnock below Karanka’s record. If Karanka had went through the same perhaps he would have been let go also.. I find it hard to believe as the knives were out much sooner with Warnock.
