Hope you've got plenty to keep your mind occupied.
As of yesterday at least he was good. We're friends on facebook and he's had the op, still kicking and now looking forward to the long recovery. Hope I'm not intruding by speaking on his behalf, mind.Little jimmy how are you mate
I'm not only looking forward to him being up and about but also being out and about. As of yesterday at least he was good. We're friends on facebook and he's had the op, still kicking and now looking forward to the long recovery. Hope I'm not intruding by speaking on his behalf, mind.
Thanks very kind.It might seem a slightly odd perspective, but I'm very happy to say you and Scoobs are pretty much my go to posters when I need my perspective raising. All the very best to you and all of yours.
Fantastic news to hear that you've had that shuffle around the ward and that you may well be home soon.Hello all. No problem with you sharing that news Harry.
I'm still in hospital and aiming for release by the weekend. Every day seems to bring a new challenge and new progress. I've had a slow shuffle round the ward with the physio this morning and have my own clothes on. The pyjamas in hospitals are for pygmies, I'm sure of it.
On the not so good, the heart continues to beat its own drum too much, which is annoying and limiting my sleep. Hopefully it will settle down. My wounds are painful but not excruciating, and it took 2 nurses 4 attempts between them to get a canular in to replace the central line in my neck. I nearly shouted, "180!" after the 3rd go.
Thanks for all the support and messages. Looking forward to shepherd's pie and sticky toffee pud for lunch.
Hope the journey and everything after goes well LJThe overthinking is on overdrive tonight. I'm due to be discharged home tomorrow. My mum and dad have called in a favour from a neighbour with a LR Disco to come and collect me so I should be comfortable on the drive back to God's Country. But I have become quite anxious about it all. The possibility of being told I have to stay in another weekend, the worry about being away from the hospital if something happens...sheesh.
Can't wait for it all to be a bad dream. Christmas a month away...I'm going to make the best I can of it.
Anyway, thanks for reading my thoughts and self-absorbed gibberish over the last 5 and a bit weeks. All your wishes and support have been hugely appreciated.

Yes, bloody good ones too. I've been in JCUH a few times and they saved my dad's life when he had his heart attack.Good luck for a strong recovery, and there are hospitals up north!
