FAO. Alan Hull fans

Spoke to Ray Jackson when he appeared at the longlands club, late 70's, with the Ray Jackson Band.
Don't think the good folk of the longlands appreciated his music.
Didn't he play the mandolin on Rod Stewart's mandolin wind.

Saw Lindisfarne at Redcar Jazz Club. Don't think it was the famous lineup. Memory fading but It might have been the last ever RJC night, or thereabouts.

Thanks for the heads up. Alan Hull was a brilliant songwriter. I've seen him with Lindisfarne and also in solo at Teesside Poly back in the 70's. His Pipedream solo album has some great songs, and is well worth a listen. I sang Country Gentleman's Wife in O'Donohues Dublin a few years ago. I don't think the Irish were to impressed, but my North East mates enjoyed it.....I think🤔
