Bilsdale switch on day

Is anybody else on Teesside still having problems getting a decent reception through an aerial? Thornaby in particular

Was talking to a few people from the Dales yesterday none of whom could get any tv.
The replacement transmitter went live at 6am today (Wed) but quality in Thornaby (for me anyway) is still rubbish. Lots of the channels missing and quality of signal poor on the others

my Aunty in Billog is still without Corrie, though she's the exact opposite of tech knowledgeable. Probably hasn't the ability to rescan TV channels.

If she hasn't rescanned since the Bilsdale fire, then she should get some channels back just by switching TV on, as they will still set to original mux frequencies

Was discussing coverage from the temporary mast yesterday and decided to generate a 'visibility cloak' on HeyWhatsThat using the position of the new mast and its height. Obviously the map shows line of sight areas in red and 500MHz transmissions will possibly behave slightly differently but coverage for the Cleveland area looked tenuous, the Cleveland Hills get in the way.

Line of sight profile from the OLD mast top to the centre of Thornaby. (y) Not that that's much effing use now!

You generate your own panoramas by selecting your location on a Google map and entering height above ground and giving the panorama a name

With these links you may have to click the view tab at the top of the page to see the panoramas

No problems in TS21. 176 channels stored after retuning this morning, but I'm more concerned about getting Radio 2 & Radio 4 back.

Does anyone know when FM transmissions are to be restored from Bilsdale?
