NI protocol agreed ‘in haste’ 🤣

That means you'd be happy to see the UK breakup, as that's what would happen

No one is saying the Tories have been amazing, but a lot of issues are global.. Europe is having massive issues with Gas shortages, the same as we are.

America is having supply-chain disruption and food shortages, the same as we are.

I don't think Labour would have done amazingly better in the same circumstances, they wanted to sign us up to the European Vaccine Programme and look how that turned out. That was arguably one major thing the Tories got right.

Like I said, I'm not linked or affiliated to any political party, but to think life would be rosy under any other party is fantasy, it's been a perfect storm of a lot of events happening quickly
There’s an element of truth in your words however, the Tories have been in power for how many years ?
They’ve had NO energy policy other than fingers crossed and shameful they couldn’t look ahead at gas and how we’d access it after allowing our rough storage to close in 2017.
The gas price here is significantly higher than the eu. Why ? Because they have lots of storage and purchased ahead. I’m involved in the energy industry so I know.
The Tories have neglected the energy policies in the Uk and it’s come back to bite us, the people.
if labour got voted in we’d have left the eu without leaving the customs union and single market meaning we wouldn’t have a supply chain crisis with hgv drivers and fuel issues. Also, the farmers wouldn’t be having the issues they are having killing pigs, the fruit pickers would be available to pick our fruits etc rather than letting it rot, and we wouldn’t have our fishermen screaming that there markets in France has disappeared overnight because of excessive paperwork making fresh produce impossible now…

Is that enough reasons WHY a labour government would’ve made a huge difference to the mess we see today ?

Not to mention the EU's vaccination rates are on a par with ours now and our infection rates are a lot higher. Yes, there was some good work getting all the vaccines ordered early but they continue to screw things up, hoping it just goes away and they can all have all the jollies they like.

I'm not seeing us being better off outside the vaccine program ?

EU ready to make significant changes. Could make them look weak and the Brexiters insufferable.
The EU will tinker around the edges and no more..this is Tory Sabre rattling to say to the DUP, look look….we are trying….honest….it’s them pesky rigid Europeans though…it’s their fault !
that’s the game being played out for another year or so…

We've already got in early and pretty well rejected whatever they're offering tomorrow. Our government are deliberately engineering a collapse of the recently signed TCA. It'll be a car crash in slow motion but the EU will hand us our arses on a plate in the next couple of years, we're lucky they've been very diplomatic and patient so far but I reckon they've had enough.

At the start, we were well ahead of the EU in the vaccine programme, everyone knows that - and your example is essentially comparing the United Kingdom with smaller nations, France and Germany are the best comparisons
My example shows us right in the same ball park as the EU countries right now, at the start doesn't matter, especially when you look at the current infection rates.

Boris is looking a bit smarter at least after a good haircut. I think he'll probably get voted back in again based on 'local issues' IR35 etc👍🥂

Yeah, so imagine how worst it would have been without early vaccines - it's not hard to understand, it would have been terrible, we have a huge older population... but then again maybe you wanted more deaths, that's how it appears
Excuse me? You'll need to show your working.

The fact you seem to be gloating that we have a terrible death rate for Covid compared to the rest of Europe, no one is denying that... arguably we should be in some sort of lockdown / break period now, but then there would be an outcry about people's liberties, which is not helping the situation

I dunno about you, but I actually read and understand contracts I agree to.

Especially when they’re oven-ready and I’ve been working on them for four years and, I dunno, they’re a nation-defining piece of major international law.

In fact I actually read about 20% of the withdrawal agreement before it got voted through, it was all in there.

Imagining signing a mobile phone contract and then three months later going “Hang on, you can’t charge me this, it’s deeply flawed.” A child wouldn’t do it. Such a failed government on every level, get them out.
