Dog friendly weekend away??

Looking for some advice please. I’m trying to plan a weekend away for me and the missus and Frank the dog , around 5th Nov. One or two nights. Ideally a cottage or somewhere dog friendly. Our dog hasn’t really travelled and not been to any really busy places so we need somewhere within about 90 minutes of Middlesbrough, dog friendly with good walking areas for the dog, and maybe somewhere picturesque so I can take the camera. I have National Trust membership if that helps. Thanks all.

Look on pets pyjamas for somewhere. We used them to get a lovely little place in Brough for a week and the cottage was spot on.
Not sure about availability of course, but they'll definitely accommodate the dog.

Whitby. Beaches are great for dogs and most cafes and pubs are dog friendly, there are so many walks to do with dogs.

The bay at Filey. Great place to stay, nice on site pub, beach is amazing and the whole place is totally dog friendly.

Great website that, thanks for the tip :)

Northumberland. Fantastic beaches: Alnmouth, Embleton, Beadnell & Bamborough. Fantastic coastal & countryside walks and a really dog friendly area. Most cottages accept dogs but availability could be an issue.

Thanks. Struggling to find somewhere that isn’t a hotel. He can be a bit barky so would rather have a self contained cottage or similar

Yeh, I thought you might. Most cottages, lodges etc want to let for more than a couple of nights. You might have more luck nearer the date you want to go.

Keswick is brilliant for dogs, nearly all the pubs and restaurants are dog friendly and most of the guest houses. Being in the Lakes there are great walks as well.
