But doesn’t the second graph suggest the situation has been far worse since we have had a large percentage of the population vaccinated?
I think at the peak this summer the 7 day average for deaths was something like 130-140.

I'm not an expert FC I just like to see downward trends regardless.
 
Fatcat is right but, and it's a big one, that's with no restrictions. Numbers were always going to rise after restrictions were removed.

Hopefully when winter comes round we will not see 100 of thousands of infections because even with people vaccinated that level of infection will see a lot people dying.

The country is currently averaging just over 100 deaths a day from the virus, out of a total daily average of 1600 deaths? Unless there is a variant of concern, breakthroughs in medical treatments and/or new vaccines. Do the media and this board need to keep publishing daily figures?
