Dominic Cummings

Yes if you note I said can you not stick to the political threads on there. I am not posting them. I will comment on them though. When have I ever said I don’t like talking about politics?

I just don’t flood the boards posting them like some

Cooper following the new Tory trend, you are not allowed to criticise them!

Don’t forget we are all in this together (again).

Cooper isn’t interested in politics. He also used to be a labour voter, don’t you know. You’ll find plenty of threads on the old board about labour failings where he’s very vocal in asking people not to respond or discuss politics....oh, hang on.....

One of the features of this board is that you can have a look at the postings of other users quite easily. So far, Coops, you have posted eight times only one posting about anything other than politics. On the old board (at the time I checked) you had posted in two of the top ten threads both about politics. This board is for whatever anyone wants to post. As with the old board you can simply not post on threads you don't like or have nothing to contribute to and it is not up to you or anyone else (me included) who posts what where - within the board rules of course.

The new board is being used as the old board was, it's not just a football message board. If you're not happy then you know what to do about it.

Who do you think you are telling him he knows what to do about it. He has as much right to post his views as the other poster has to post his political views.
Dont bother replying I've just found out why the ignore button was such a good idea.

Wonderful admission from Cooper. He acknowledges things are going to get worse and then HOPES that they get better. This man happily imposed economic sanctions on a country and is glad we are alienated from our neighbours and all because he hopes we can recover from Brexit. Words fail me.

Nope I am happy with everything thank you very much. It really isn't difficult to grasp though. Looking forward to the next phase and the end of the transition period.

One of the reasons I voted leave was I was willing to risk that things could get worse to see if things could get better than the status quo. So I won't be embarrassed by anything anytime soon. I am willing to wait quite a few years 1st before seeing whether I am right or wrong. So I wont be changing my opinion on Brexit for a long time (y)

‘Brexit

People celebrating an imaginary freedom, over an imaginary oppressor in an imaginary war.

With imaginary benefits.’

Nice twisting of words there again ST. I think you’ll find my words were I am willing to risk that things could get worse in order to see if they could get better than the status quo.
Can you point to anyone quote where I have said things will get worse and then I hope they get better?

mucho gracious

Don't worry 65% of Teeside voted leave just like you. Plus lots of the NE held their nose and voted Tory so that it could happen and no doubt this included lots of Boro fans. We all have to wait and see how it goes and like you say we'll get to put our cross onto a ballot paper in 5 years time.

Oh so, despite overwhelming evidence you're not willing to admit that things are getting worse? Maybe I gave you too much credit before when I thought you were beginning to realise what a poisoned chalice brexit had become. Keep on believing! Maybe we can have a UK economy sector for hopes and dreams?

I reckon, genuinely, being a North easterner and voting Tory because of brexit is an act of pure ridiculous folly. You do realise that brexit will be completed THIS Year and then you have four more years of a government that has always shown scant regard to the region. I guess, like brexit itself, there's a depressing short term and lack of in depth thinking in such a decision.

I know it used to be that we should never talk about politics. It's beginning to seem to me that view is dangerous. People need to learn more about politics and how it works and we would be spared knee jerk, ultimately damaging reactions such as working class northerners voting Tory due to a single issue. I guess you get the government you deserve.

Yes I'm born and bred from the NE and I didn't vote Tory (I remember Thatcher). But I also know that something must change and voting like sheep for the Labour Party hasn't cut it for years. I understand clearly why friends and neighbours voted leave (for radical change but not Corbyns version) and I respect why some of them put a cross in the Tory box - it's called democracy.

Yeah I get democracy. My point is voting Tory purely to "get brexit done" is a very short sited approach.

Where will we go when the old board has gone Cooper. Shall we just sit on our hands in a dark corner of the new board.

nope just like others on this thread you have just posted something that contradicts exactly what I said. I said can you not just keep them to one place. When old goes then yeah. I also didn’t say I didn’t discuss politics and I also said I will reply to them so previous posters quoting me talking about politics are again just twisting what I said or just simply don’t understand basic language

Come on Cooper, you want to criticise Labour but shut down anything anti Tory. Old board or new board I’m afraid we can’t let you get away with that even more so after the disaster of Boris somehow manipulating his big majority, the fightback must start now. Those who don’t like the cut and thrust of the politics threads (and there are a good few posters who don’t) do not have to participate and that is their choice to make and not yours.

nope again didn’t say anything like that. Just another twist
