Isn't Xavier from Mozambique? Which would mean weirdly we have never had a player born in Portugal. With them being a major football nations that's damned surprising.

Think Sweden is a big omission. Closest we came was Jesper Blomqvist on trial.

If we're going off place of birth then half the players listed on this thread wouldn't count.

It's surely the nation they've represented, not where they were born.

By birth Gestede is French, Besic is German, Morrison is English, Nsue is Spanish, Morsy is English, Bolasie is French, Bamba is French, Tavares is French, Hoyte is English, Kebano is French etc.
 
Ikpeazu is currently English, but could become Ugandan or Nigerian depending on who he declares for/is picked by.

I think it's try and get as many countries represented as possible by birth, passport or otherwise.
