Signs I am getting old

1. For the first time in your life, someone gives up a seat on a crowded bus/train (they look foreign, maybe it's their culture).

2. Then it happens again again 3 months later (nothing suggests 'foreign' this time).

3. Happens every couple of weeks.

4. You start 'milking it'.

When I was 69 I went up Buckden Pike. Instead of coming down the way I went up and making a short detour to the pub I decided to go down via Starbotton. Both knees "went" on the way down and resulted in a hip replacement.

........ and so it goes on. It's called growing old and it doesn't get any easier.

I'm going to the Blackpool game on Saturday and after that I may want to commit suicide as it seems a better option than continuing going to watch them

Gasping for breath at the top of the stairs in the lower east stand is embarrassing - my knees work but apparently my heart doesn't now

keep smiling - its about all that is left

Walking up the steps from Saltburn pier to Marine parade and stopping half way up and pretending to take some pics when really you're blowing out your backside and need a base camp .
Ps add Whitby Abbey steps to that 😤

The first time I realised I was old was when I thought about changing career. I realised that by the time I had retrained, I wouldn't have enough years left working to cover the costs.:(

Getting old can be a mindset for many but with it comes accepting that you’re not young and maybe sprite full as you once used to be. Nonetheless, the bad or aching back can afflict us all — no matter what age you are. Nonetheless there are ways of correcting or reducing pain through exercise and diet. This might not be a one size fits all, moreover it will take time to work these changes into your lifestyle but if you want a pain-free later life then this might be approach to take.

yeah, isn't this the truth. Started doing back exercises (pilates-type ones) and resistance training, get a decent amount of exercise walking/biking but my back complains about it nowadays - though cycling is notoriously bad for it especially if you've a weak core. Which I have, coz I couldn't be ars*d doing anything about it till it's been too late.

When your taller now when you're laid flat on your back than when you used to stand up .
