I’m sick of dogs

I’m, about to be murdered but I am absolutely up to my neck in dogs . My locals are now like Crufts and the pubs are teaming with them . Go to Saltburn and again it’s full of them . My niece just told me the other day that her little precious has sleepovers with its pals .
I think there is even a dog cafe in Marske.

Does it go to the sleepovers in a dog taxi, I saw one of those a few days ago 😁

I have a couple of terriers that keep the land free of vermin and keep the neighbours alert.
But FFS never can I reconcile those doggy push chairs. I feel like giving the owners a proper boot up the ****.

Much like humans, I like them individually...well, most. There are good and bad dogs (sometimes at the same time). There are more than ever around now though, and I get annoyed by their yapping in the street at other dogs or in the gardens in the suburbs. Grumpy old man, and proud.

£1000 a year dog tax in Third Leg’s britain. £2000 for the second. £3000 third and so on.

there are too many

Dogs are pretty much dependent on their owner(s). Plenty of good and bad and stupid. But we’re all supposed to be tolerant these days — so many people love dogs because they’ll always be there to lick their face and wag their tails! I don’t have dogs or any pets but I generally don’t have a problem with stupid owners after all it’s their problem in the end.

I suspect dogs are one of the reasons thousands have managed to cope over the last 18 months. Not just for companionship but an effective encouragement to exercise.
spot on — there’s been a phenomenal rise in dog ownership here in Los Angeles partly out of the Covid lockdown and partly I would suspect due to the defund the police rhetoric. Some bad moments on the news revolving around the sudden surge in dog ownership is that many dogs have been dumped out on the streets as some owners probably didn’t realize what they were letting themselves in for — ie dog poop and the expense of it all. The ring app actually caught one dog owner tying his dog to a park gate and leaving him— very sad dog and sick human.
