Feedback on new site thread

I think it's hidden. If you click on a users avatar it shows posting history and stuff, but no sign of an email. With the 'Start conversation' option then you can share private details if needed away from any would-be stalkers (y)

Apparently people don’t want this as they want to read everything in one go. For me, this is the one thing that should be separated purely because you get the same threads and arguments over and over. It should have its own moderator as well that is a bit impartial and there to keep converdation on track
 
I've just transitioned over (no not that) and have to say this new board is a huge upgrade on the 'old' one already (y)

I think I've removed e-mail alerts, so will see how we go.

Definitely like the idea of a separate political section, as said above it ruined the old board.
 
Regarding the political threads, I'd say keep the one forum format for now then review it if it genuinely becomes an issue.

If people use the search function and only slightly modify their posting behaviour then I think that it would be really easy to make sure that discussion is confined to just a few threads rather than having multiple ones on the same subject. Fingers crossed.
 
The notifications were a big issue for me on a different forum using the same software as this one, luckily I already knew to turn them off when coming on here.

You can end up with hundreds of emails if you're not careful.
 
Absolutely nothing to be critical of so far. My favourite addition is the fact that you are notified immediately if somebody has just posted on the thread you're replying to. (y)
 
Only one niggle so far from me and I suppose it is personal preference, but the FMTTM logo and thread fonts seem huge compared to the old site
I was looking to see if the fonts at least could be scaled (I can do it in the browser but that affects all sites)
Still I probably won't notice in a few weeks but it sort of jumps out at me at the mo.
A vast improvement on the old site up to now though so well done to those involved.

Your post shows if someone has liked you. For example, I've just liked this post you've made. Or this link should work - I'm not sure if it says the name of the person who liked you but you can at least then use it to find the post that was liked. https://fmttmboro.com/index.php?account/likes
