Impossible to tell a lot about him in the circumstances, 20 mins to go chasing the game and down to 10 men. Looks physically capable of playing midfield in the championship.

Played one very intelligent pass which put a player in behind the Australian back four and Argentina didn’t do that often.

Reasonably optimistic for him being an asset in the circumstances.

He looked comfortable on the ball, forward thinking, didn’t dwell on the ball, decent control on one forward foray. He made an excellent cross field forward pass too as well as the one referred to above. Seems he likes to be on set pieces, although his corner and free kick were a bit meh. Reasons to be cheerful though, looks promising from the snippets today.

I was only half watching it (I am supposed to be working) and I missed him coming. Did see him do some tidy things and the free kick wasn't as bad as some might have you think. They were a man down, mind the Aussies were pushing their luck at times with a card happy ref.

Jury adjourned for me.

Shall we give him 2 games in a boro shirt before we decide if he should be binned off into the northern league or proclaimed as the new messiah? Lots of folks expecting the new Juninho.. I’m hoping for a South American Robbie Mustoe.

He won’t be the new Juninho or the new Robbie Mustoe. I am hoping he is the new Heine Otto
