Time for the unions to chop the legs off the party machine and help to set up a new left of centre, worker's party free from the fifth columnists. The establishment would really start worrying then.
No, "The Establishment" would dance a little happy jig. Division is their creed. It makes them richer.set up a new left of centre, worker's party free from the fifth columnists. The establishment would really start worrying then.
I think some folk think the Labour Party is theirs alone. The point about factions and division rather than unity against the common enemy is lived out for all to see on here. I don’t understand half of it and don’t care . Labour is a party not a plaything God help the really unfortunate in society left exposed and unsupported against the monstrous Johnson and his elitist army.
About 13% of private workers are in a union, 52% of state workers. There is no (can't think of the word) for a left wing party.Time for the unions to chop the legs off the party machine and help to set up a new left of centre, worker's party free from the fifth columnists. but what would replace it? Labour under a different name?Keith Stalin is doing exactly what he always intended to do. Destroying the labour party. And I'm glad to see it burn right now. Not my party any more. Good riddance to it.
The problem is that if you want a roof over everyone's head, food in everyone's belly and a decent publicly owned health system, your classed as far left.It will depend how this is carried out in practice, but Starmer is absolutely right to get some of these far left groups and individuals out.
Well such a move would guarantee the tories power for decades in truth. You need to understand the majority of the electorate that vote then put policies in place they like otherwise you are eternally shouting from the shadows.Time for the unions to chop the legs off the party machine and help to set up a new left of centre, worker's party free from the fifth columnists. You can't unite the far left, they only care that you aren't left enough. They would rather the Tories - even this current far right lot ffs! - were in power than compromise and accept the vast majority of people of this country are not far left, but sensibly moderate.
Anything would be better than seeing the labour party becoming the democrats which is what is happening now.but what would replace it? Labour under a different name?
I'm sure it was the right of the party that attempted two coups on Corbyn's leadership.I've supported every Labour leader since my teenage years.
Labour would be much more effective in opposition if all left leaning folk did likewise.
Labour doesn't have a 'right wing', it's a popular misconception.I'm sure it was the right of the party that attempted two coups on Corbyn's leadership.
Simple people like me - uncomplicated always voted Labour because they were for the many not the few and appealed to my Christian social Democrat principles are simply baffled by the in party fighting.

You can't be serious about that, surely?Labour doesn't have a 'right wing', it's a popular misconception.
It's like saying the Tory Party has a 'left wing'.
I thought you didn't want to get into any arguments about the Labour Party? You can't be serious about that, surely?
Won't get elected otherwise.Waste ten years banging on about them while a tory PM destroys the country?

Even if they did (they don't) it would still be left of centre and certainly left of the Tories. You can't be serious about that, surely?
