Hoillet deal is unfortunately happening, but it's delayed because he's on international duty apparently but he will sign.

Bolasie deal is still way way off and unless his agent demands come down significantly then he won't be signing. It was a done deal at the time but the agent started getting involved to much.

Wyke has informed the club that he wants to join the club and the deal looked like it was happening but Boro have stalled.

Gibson wants to club to be as close as self run as possible financially (stating the obvious I know), but gone are the times of giving players 25k a week so players like Deidhou won't be happening unless terms are reduced.

Michael Smith in final talks with Neil Bausor at the club.

Great work Boro Legend thanks for the breaking news, if you wanted to leave Rock Cliff tomorrow for a few hours I'm happy to spell you, as long as you're back on the job Monday morning 👍🔥
Bolasie deal still has some legs in it...

To sum up:

A 31-year old Canadian, unemployed and not claiming benefits..
A 32 year old French - born Congolese, ex-Premiership happy chap, wondering what to post on twitter?*
A 28 year old ex Boro youth, who`s never played above the third tier of English football.**
Offering a 29 year old South Tyneside lad the opportunity to wear the 14th club football kit of his 11 year football career.***

Lets look at it this way:
The youth team players will get their chances because none of the above will last the full 90 at any time during the season!

* Take him
** Make your mind up
*** He`l take the knocks

You've literally copy and pasted a post on OneBoro from yesterday. Nice work.

Boro_Legend's lifting of scoops from OneBoro and passing them off as his own is like copying your mates homework and changing a few words here and there 🤣

Hoillet and Bolasie seem very short sighted. They will do a job for a year or 2 but then leave for nothing and both already wrong side of 30. They have also both had injury issues and not cheap wage wise.

It's hardly making the club 'sustainable' (as in develop a player and sell for more money).

I read recently that Wyke was watched a few times in the flesh by Warnock and he's no longer a target? I presume it was the playoff matches. You just have to read what Sunderland fans say about him to suggest as to why he's not a Warnock 'type'.

I don't mind Michael Smith. An honest pro who puts in a shift and a bit of a handful. 10 goals is a decent return for a target man (I read only Keifer Moore won more headers). Rotherham fans love him and think he's worth3 times what we are offering. That said final year and coming up 30 suggests it's going to around 1mil.

I'm hoping we are also looking at early to mid 20s players. They are where the development side comes in. I know we also need experienced players and I guess that's why Bolasie and Hoillet are targets.

Pay peanuts get monkeys. Obviously like a lot of clubs oue finances are going to be limited but its a massive gamble bringing in lower league players. The odd one might step up to the challange but if you get in 6 or 7(or more) all of them won't. So you have got to mix it with brining in tried and tested players of the right age even if we need to pay a fee for them. Its a gamble but pick the right ones and there is a profit to be made selling on.
As mentioned above Holliet and Bolasie seems very short sighted. Big wages no sell on at their age. If we can get a reasonable deal for Bolasie I would take him as we have seen what he is about but if not move on. Holliet no thank you.

Holliet might do a job to bolster the squad, Smith should be desperate to sign for us and I wasn't over impressed with Bolasie last season. Appreciate we want to sign players, but only if they are better than what we already have....

We've lost 3 players for nothing who cost best part of 25mil😕. I am sure covid has brought issues but our recruitment over the last 5 years has cost us more.

Constantly letting players leave for nothing who cost millions. The issue is we pay them that well no fecker will take them.

The one 'good thing' to come out of this is we won't be doing it anymore. We are just a normal champo club who players/agents won't see as a payday👍

Any more news on the Southampton lad who scored against us in the FA cup?

So BL Bolasie was a done deal but now it's not
So at no point in history was it ever a done deal then ?

I'm sure The Legend only passes on the Intel he's been given.
It's a classic case of don't shoot the messenger (The Legend in this case) 👍
