I have family coming over for a wedding from Australia who have never been to Teesside before in the summer.

Trying to recommend a few days out for them. I visited Helmsley at the weekend and Yorkshire lavender.

The museum in Great Ayton is closed because of covid rules. Is the one in Stewarts Park back open yet?
 
Tees Barrage, only really discovered this over lockdown, it's a nice walk and a chance to see some wild life on the river.
 
Ormesby hall / Nunnington Hall - or one of the othe NT places, if they’re interested in British history?

On Friday we are previewing at talk for local history month about Ripon Museums - where you can step back into the 19th century and visit the old workhouse, courtroom, prison and police station.
Friday 7th May 2pm No Rest For the Wicked is the talk telling you about these museums - it is a live zoom so you have to book on..
