Do we need access to Norways fishing waters. Already have more than we can eat. I prefer haddock

The Norwegians seem pretty happy with the result

'Lord Nelson
Lord Beaverbrook
Sir Winston Churchill
Sir Anthony Eden
Clement Atlee
Henry Cooper
Lady Diana
Maggie Thatcher
Can you hear me?
Can you hear me?
Nigel Farage
Boris Johnson
Your boys took a helluva beating!'
I was trying to counter with a list of famous Norweigans. Got stuck can someone help me out?

yet again we have a Brexit trajectory that started with ‘we hold all the cards, get ready for sunlit uplands’ to ‘maybe we can just about keep what we had’ to ‘who likes food anyway?’

😂
Sunlit uplands must have a different definition to some people...

Other famous Norweigans:

Edvard Munch (him of The Scream painting)
Roald Dahl's parents (they ran the Norweigan Consultate in Cardiff)
Anni-Frid - the dark haired lady in Abba although she may have disowned Norway after her and mother were badly treated after WW2, because her father was a German solder.

Fish is irrelevant isn't it. We were always told by the remain side . Less than 0.5% GDP etc. But now when it suits its so important.

Revisionism.

Leave argued that Brexit would give us control over our fishing grounds and therefore be a big plus, remain argued that in terms of GDP it was irrelevant. Truth is, remain were more right than they knew and leaving has effectively destroyed our fishing industry.

Your postings are often juvenile trolling, so no change here.

.If it was someone else posting I would be confused which way you are arguing. But it isnt.

That revisioning goes both ways Mutley. Leave did argue that leaving the EU would give us control of our fishing waters, and remain argued it was insignificant. Now it seems it's not insignificant, the remain argument has not so subtley shifted.

Not arguing for brexit here, just pointing out that your post, when accusing brexiteers of revisionism, it gows both ways.

It really hasn't. The hit on our GDP IS and will for ever be, insignificant. It also turns out that there was no plus to leaving for the fishing industry

Not arguing with that, I am arguing with your revisionist statement. That applies to both sides of the argument. I do recall clearly that when fishing was used as a positive of brexit, those on the remain side insisted that it was such a low GDP contributor that it was insignificant. You need to blame those making that argument Mutley, not me.

It is a skill all on its own applying logic and knowledge appropriately to a problem.

So when Leave cited regaining control of our fishing as a benefit of leaving the EU Remainers didn’t deny it, what they pointed out was that making a decision to benefit a very small sector of the economy is not a good decision if it is going to have a negative effect on the vast majority of sectors. This was an appropriate application of knowledge and a fairly straightforward understanding of maths. Leavers, for reasons known only to them (or maybe not), chose to ignore some basic maths back then.

Now we can see that it hasn’t even benefitted the one sector even Remainers thought would benefit.

The response now appears to be to cite some maths, but inappropriately.

The appropriate response for Leavers is surely to ask why Boris hasn’t followed through on delivering what they thought was going to be a slam dunk on what they turned into their flagship issue. This is important. If they can’t even deliver on their number one easiest to deliver benefit, what is the likelihood project Leave is going to deliver benefits overall?

If someone says vote with me and leave your stale marriage and I’ll deliver you fresh pussy day after day and so you do and when you open your eyes afterwards and find Boris is smearing his dripping stinky bellend all over you face, my reaction would be to feel embarrassed at my own gullibility and furious at Boris, but hundredroom’s reaction is to decide to like cheese.
