Brexit - the positives

I think the funniest thing about Brexit is watching Remainers trying to convince the majority of the voters they were wrong for the last few years . Especially when they hint it was due to some lack of intelligence on their part.
It's a bit pointless getting all twisty and bent out of shape over a vote you (and me) clearly lost.

So what you and Adi (because he liked the comment) are saying is you believe you are better educated because you were against brexit?

Did you vote for it or against it? I can't remember if you ever said?

That’s very much not what I’m saying by liking a post. Very odd.

See this is the number one thing that ***** me off about the whole brexit argument. I didn't take part in the vote so I can see the pros and the cons but this argument that a 'better' (whatever that may mean) education means you have a more valid viewpoint on the word brexit is utter b***ks.
Calm down Randy I was just pointing out his spectacularly poor spelling and grammar.

Who knows. ST denies voting Tory at the last general election even though there are posts from him saying he did.
His main gripe is he employs EU migrant workers and its become a bit more difficult now

I think that some real benefits can be made with farming, around moving from the current EU subsidies which benefit larger (richer) landowners more towards environmental management.

It could lead to real regeneration of the countryside, and a future more based on conservation and sustainability.
I still think my farming subsidy post is the biggest benefit so far.

I wonder why BoroFur didn't comment on ST's grammer, (double wording), or because he's a remainder, leaver, err sorry, remainer

I hope you wern't, the point I'm making, why did you have to direct that question to whoever it was intended to, do you feel some sort of been superior because you have a different opinion to someone
I don't understand any of that Erimus would you like to have another crack at it?

No. I'm saying people defending brexit now are coming across as not using rationale thought. I said there are many reasons why they would give this impression.

And I voted to remain. I think I.mentioned that!

It’s simply not a benefit. It might be in a decade or longer but it’s a very big ‘if’. The existing subsidies are being phased out over 7 years without a proper replacement. The farmer’s union is seriously concerned that farmers will lose circa 80% of their subsidy income by 2024. The replacement scheme is a sketch (albeit a good sketch) really and given the decimation of subsidy funding there is a serious risk that many farms won’t make it to see its implementation. The timeline and economic impact are largely unclear.

But what is happening right now, on the ground, is decimating the industry. Higher costs, falling prices and a shrinking market means that many farms aren’t going to make it. Throw in trade deals that start to lower food standards which is pretty much inevitable now and this fanciful 10 year plan simply won’t be of any benefit.

That's told you Nobby, seems the most interesting poster just likes to throw insults, 🤔
And what is insulting about what I have said Erimus?
Spell it out to me.
You come across all nice as ninepence when in reality you are the most passive aggressive poster on this board.
You've managed to fill out a whole thread with flippant comments without ever being able to list one single positive benefit of Brexit. That tells me all I need to know about you, 'super-poster' or not.
"I don't get involved in political threads but.............." should be your strapline.
