haters gonna hate, sadly.
But we should all be held accountable for the consequences of our behaviour, and on line abusers, trolls, fascists and racists need to be easier to chase and hold to account.
The internet has failed as a source for good, as a source of information sharing and betterment of society. Like anything else in human history, the sociopaths, the damaged, the harmful will try and manipulate it for their benefit or just sadistic enjoyment.
There needs to be better traceability of online behaviours. If we want a global platform, then we need to held to account as if we were talking to everyone, so abhorrent racism or spreading of falsehoods should be heavily punished. Laws need to change, they were not defined with the information age in mind, I'm all for social platforms using some government run internet ID (government not having access to anything that we say, unless a specific case is brought), down to a device or account, that ensures traceability. I know there are clear technical and process challenges here, but it's important for the mental health of all, to allow the internet to be a positive environment and influence, for life on the internet to be governed by the same rules as the rest of life.
Keep up the good fight Yusuf, there are plenty of us supporting what you are doing and happy to have you on board this mad rollercoaster of life
