The Unofficial "Official" Match Day Thread. Mighty Boro v Bristol City.

Or he could have taken his man down and been sent off. His starting position was wrong. But he's been the best of our defenders who have been abysmal. Getting through on goal from the halfway line is an absolute joke.
By that logic a keeper would never come out for a ball in case they missed it. If he had carried on he would have easily got it

Those defending Bettinelli - even at junior level goalkeepers are taught either come for the ball or stay on your line, never start to come for it and change your mind. If he'd come flying out, as long as he didn't foul Wells, then he would have made the striker work for it rather than making it as easy as possible for him. I see schoolboy errors from him every week.

The above can change the correct decision three times in two seconds
He was one on one from the halfway line, when we were 2-0 down in the first half

You're blaming the fireman who has been given a water pistol when the entire building is on fire, our defenders and midfield are pouring petrol on it.

What’s bolas success rate at crosses do we think 1/10 maybe, needs to do better as we end up playing a lot through him at the moment but the delivery into the box regularly hits the first man

So frustrating tonight.
Think it is only human as fans to focus on the weakest links.....old tensions rise to the surface.
Bettinelli isn't a good keeper - evidence with us proves it - he can kick it hard and wallop it downfield and that's about it.
Frustrating that he's a shoe-in every week and Archer was brought in for a laugh.

Britt is terrible - record transfer fee and record wages and captain.....you would have to be the most 'fair minded' man in the world to not be seething with his performances and attitude. (I know its not his fault tonight....but he is still a fanny....and his absence, though justified, doesn't help us).
Akpom falsifying his CV and fooling the bods that be that he is a striker grates too.

Errors tonight have been by players who usually play well and put in a shift (eg, Howson, and the whole defence generally).
But its hard to have a go at them too much as they have collected positivity points in the bank.

It's hard to be objective limited to a single game.
If you can be as dispassionate about your football then good on you - must have ice for blood

Cannot understand how Howson is still on the pitch, this is up there as his worst performance in a Boro shirt.
