The 9am figures not disclosed yet?

That's a very low number of vaccinations reported, the lowest for some time in fact.
I wonder if there's been a glitch in the numbers?
Always seem to be quite low on Mondays. There has been rumours of supply problems for the next couple of weeks too

It's a 100k lower than last Monday, and only 10k went to 2nd vaccinations, that's about a 40% drop, quite a chunk.

Trend has been down for a couple of weeks, I imagine we blew our supply to get that first 15m sorted ASAP, which is fine, just hope we can get back up to 3m per week again, soon.

We need to get back up to 3m a week soon otherwise that target date of 31st July won't be achieved.

Also, we've only got another 4 weeks of being able to concentrate on first doses before we'll need to undertake 1m weekly second doses, which very quickly ramps up to 2-2.5m second doses per week. If they're going to offer all adults a first dose by 31st July, whilst adminstering the required second doses to the earlier groups at the same time, it will require a near doubling in the current rate.

It was a very woolly answer by Johnson to a question on this earlier. Didn't fill me with any confidence.

I know, I tried to explain this to somebody on another thread today but they weren't having it.

Just for interest I have my second dose booked for mid March, 9 weeks after the first one. Been informed recently this could be pushed out to the 12 week point. Still awaiting confirmation but if this is replicated across the country it would mean many more first jabs could be done...

That will create an even bigger bottleneck.

I appreciate it must be a huge logistical challenge however low daily numbers could only be as a consequence of supply and/or batch testing issues?

As of 9am on 23 February, 4,134,639 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the UK.

Positive cases were 8,489.

548 deaths were reported today

135,613 deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate (up to 12 February)

17,916,181 have had a first dose vaccination. 192,341 first dose vaccinations yesterday.
That's good to see re case numbers after a slight tick up yesterday, maybe some delayed reporting from Sunday impacted yesterdays number?
