How soon before Dael is on his way if good offers come in?

At 23 he is head and shoulders above any other defender in the Championship.
His momentous performance yesterday was like replacing a mini with a Ferrari.

In previous seasons there has been speculation about "big" Premier clubs sniffing and watching our latest prize asset.

Its inevitable that he is increasingly under the spotlight from experienced scouts and managers.

Like all of us - we wouldnt want to let Fry go under any circumstances - similar to Ben Gibson.

I would argue that Fry is a better, more rounded, more mature and mentally tougher player than Ben Gibson at his age.

Unless we go up, its likely that serious offers will be placed on Boro`s table for our young lad.

A call up to the England squad has to be a realistic expectation if his form and freedom from injury continues?

Hes more than worth fighting to keep him here.

Who can deny he is pivotal to our promotion push and aspirations to play in the Premier League?

If we don't go up we shouldn't be selling for less than £30m covid or no covid and should be putting in a clause for a % of the sell on that will happen afterwards. Can see him going to Leicester.

Neil is a wise old owl [Blade] and a crafty fox [sorry Lesta] and if he stays I doubt he would let him go without a fight.
Having said that, he can find a striker under a mackem bin lorry [sorry Duncan] and turn Bola into wine.

Haven’t seen a better defender in this league all season. Would be devastated to lose him next season but I can certainly see some real interest.

Hopefully Fry looks at the Ben Gibson situation and thinks hard about his future. Gibson disappeared from football when he went to Burnley.

Does Fry go to a mid table Premier League club and risk becoming a squad player? Or stay at his local club where playing actually means something?

I doubt it matters... Money talks and the premier league is where the money is. If Leicester or similar are interested then it's a big opportunity as well.

As long as we get a strong fee then that is all we can hope for.

Great pics mate, Fry has become the player he is under Warnock's guidance. Don't think we need to worry about him going anywhere if we keep growing.

I hope so.
He appears to have an old head on young shoulders.
No swank or up his own ____.
Ideally, its players and people like Dael we need to build a solid foundation for a team that can do more than just survive in the Premiership.
We need an understudy who can learn from him too, for the future.
We should never forget that young lads in the reserves and across the North East - just starting out, or playing lower league and non-league, will be inspired by the likes of Dael as a role - model.
To young kids that makes a big difference.
Its not ok just spending money on imports.
Some of our best times have included a blend of world class talent with local north east lads [and Whitby] who could cut it with the best....

His wage would at least double at a premiership club, he’s young and would be daft not to leave if a club comes knocking .
us as non players would say it’s better to be playing regularly than sitting on a bench in the premiership, but when your main money earning career ends at around aged 34, you’ve got to bank as much as you can in that short time .
hopefully non come sniffing though.

He could always top up with a wedge from our "striker" when he leaves in the summer?! (y)

I remember him getting a fair bit of stick on here in the past. But I guess that's football. He was awesome yesterday.
When the oppositions commentators pick out an opposition player for his performance especially when it isn't a striker then you know that player must be playing exceptionally.

We have a track record of selling our best players cheap. If he does go lets hope its big money and reinvested well..
Hope he doesn't have one of those stupid minimum offers in his contract . Ziege , Adama etc. Cos he could go for 10 quid more.

I think there is another factor with Fry which makes him even more valuable is that he isn’t flashy, he’s a player‘s player, just gets on with it, his temperament is first class. He’s top quality there can be no doubt about that and let’s hope he’s here for many years to come.
