We threw that away in the first 30 where our CBs were bullied. McNair and Dijksteel has never worked as a central defensive pair, only in a 3.

We played much better second half. Hall, McNair and Dijksteel didn't look in any trouble, and McNair was able to step into the midfield regularly. But we really lacked a little bit of presence up front. Britt, Akpom and Fletcher all failed to bully Wisdom and Clarke. We need more from these 3, a lot more.

Poor against a poor team .
Our use of the ball in the attacking third is woeful .
Don't get opposition managers saying we are physical .
Seem to lose out in challenges all over the pitch .

We needed him past year. Pur team was a bunch of boys and they needed a strong leader. Weve been crap for two months and a lot of that is down to how Warnock sets us up and sticking with players like Saville. We looked balanced when Saville went off and started playing football when we went 4 4 2. Trouble is we lost the game 70 minutes earlier. Not fussed if hes here next year. Lot of fawning over him, dont get it. We havent played any football since we beat Birmingham
 
I think NW has worked wonders here, he's really brought on the likes of McNair, Bola, Johnson, Dijksteel to mention only a few.

The problem has always been the front end of the team and he's brought people in for nothing, with free transfers and loans.

He made an interesting comment about a young manager being excited to build on the core of this team, I think if we drift any further he'll step aside in the summer.
 
We are just one of multiple championship sides who are built to battle, scrap and take advantage of any dark art you can think of. If you overperform you might sneak into playoffs, if you underperform you could be looking at relegation. Our style is built on intangibles; hard work, intensity and out battling sides because we lack quality. You just cannot rely on those over a 46 game season. Especially with a thin squad.
 
I don’t think Warnock got it right today..

I would have liked to have seen us with five at the back with wingbacks pushing forward. lots of new attacking options atm but not so much up to speed yet.

Johnson looked good when he came on
Good to see Hall back in the side
More minutes for Fletcher
Mendez-Laing looks promising
 
We need to lose one of the central midfielders and get someone in the number 10 to help the cf. We are making it far to easy for teams with only one up to from the start.

I agree to an extent about the Djiksteel and McNair pair not "working" but neither of their goals was their fault. The first, I've only seen once (that was enough) and for me Betternelly goes down thinking he will get a decision. Second is just a thunderbolt and nothing CKR did before or after looked like it, for the briefest of moments his body was possessed by the ghost of Carlos Alberto.

But for the whole 90 minutes we were rank bad. Warnock's fault.
