Hi, so far the only real impact is some first world problems.
We placed an order for some fitflops from fitflop.eu. They were shipped from the uk on 9 January. Still not arrived. However they are now in Spain. We were lucky as they say that DPD has stopped all their deliveries to Europe now.
As we have been resident here for years we have the right to stay here. We can use copies of our original paperwork to prove it. Although we will eventually apply for one of the new cards (TIE I think they are called). As they are smaller than the A4 paperwork we carry at the moment.
I have Irish grandparents so I can claim Irish citizenship (as well as UK). I applied ages ago. However processing of the application is delayed. As there are no Irish staff processing requests at the moment. Due to coronavirus. I was advised to do this as a back up. In case of future problems. Without any clear positive reasons.
So really, the virus is having a much bigger impact on me than Brexit so far.
