Mowbray - You're a WEASEL

What are you on about "better than that" because I don't think Mowbray needs to throw his own player under the bus just to appease a load of hysterical Boro fans who would be claiming "it's a mans game" and "there was no intent" if it was the other way around.
Seems I was wrong and you are not.

And you don't speak for everyone either 👍🏻
I never said I do, but perhaps somebody needs to speak for you because you have spouted a load of rubbish on this thread. Over and over again.

It was a terrible challenge he didn't need to make. That type of challenge simply doesn't happen all the time and when it does it is always commented on.
The player should have shown concern and some regret. So should Mowbray.
It is as simple as that.

Get a grip, someone has a different opinion to you and you can't handle it.

Boo hoo

Is hilarious that people think players weigh up the pros and cons of a decision within a hundredth of a second!
Everything that happens on the football field is circumstantial. When something bad happens and it’s not intent it’s a number of things that account for it

Players has stood showing without knowing what is there
Injured player dips his head battling with another player
Lad on been amongst first team for a week, trying to make a impression
Team talk from Mowbray May effected players decision to go like that

like I’ve said a few time. If this had hit a players chest they wouldn’t be as much hyperbole about it. We’d be talking about a missed penna.

I can imagine the referees & the Blackburn team getting booed off at the Riverside and all our players thinking it's directed at them!

Even if he had hit the chest and not the eye, it should still have been a red card and a penalty. You can't go in with feet at head height, and he had his studs up as well. Clearly, as that is what caused the cuts to Fry's eye. He wasn't even going to kick it in a conventional manner, he's gone and lunged with his studs... it was a bizarre incident. And the bottom line is that it is dangerous play.

Thats the end of the thread then I suppose!

I don’t think anyone has said it isn’t a penalty and not a red card. It’s dangerous okay I think from the comments everyone agrees with that

studs out, feet at head height, contact with the head, cuts to the eye and face..
the defence "he's 18" "he's looking at the ball" "he didn't mean it"

what are the laws of the game there for if not to protect the players? idiotic from all of the officials.

absolutely shocking from the referee, Fry could have easily lost an eye through that. Mogga is an absolute tool for his response to it. he didn't need to hang his player out to dry but a bit of professional courtesy a bit of human decency wouldn't go a miss.

If that's the sort of guy he wants to be now.. well good luck to him.

The defence of Mowbray is absolutely pathetic quite frankly.

He doesn't have to throw his player under the bus to acknowledge what happened ESPECIALLY BECAUSE HES MEANT TO BE A BORO LEGEND. That happened to a Boro centre back, who's from Boro, who grew up supporting Boro and will know all about Tony Mowbray.

The people defending Mogga can feck right off. He's a sad vindictive pr*ck who's clearly got a chip on his shoulder due to the garbage he served up when managing here.

That was 1 centimetre away from being one of the worst injuries you will ever see on a football field. It wasn't clumsy, it doesn't happen every week check yourselves.
He is always going to defend his player and team, he has a job to do which he is already under pressure with. The majority in his position would do the same I fully expect. Will throwing his own player under the bus do anything to help his side?

Its happened and we cant do anything to change it, just need to move on

Who has a 5 foot 6 inch chest?
If that challenge had hit Fry in the chest it would still have been reckless and condemned.
People get concerned about studs above the ball, above the knee...let alone above the chest.

I don’t know i do think Mowbray could acknowledge the challenge says it’s a red card and still defend his player if he wishes to do so

And Mowbray is also commenting after words were exchanged at the final whistle. Don't forget Warnock confronted their player so everyone will be riled up.

He could have come across as being more sympathetic but in the heat of the moment very few managers are articulate with their words.
