Petition to have the Ref sacked

This was particularly a problem though.

Its one thing having a dodgy penalty decision for or against you, or a bad offside decision.

This was about a player nearly losing an eye in the penalty area, a tall player trying to head the ball at head height and somebody kicking him in the face whilst trying to do it.

And not being punished.

The Boro as a club must take some form of action, it’s a health and safety issue above and beyond the normal risks isn’t it?

Serious question about the laws of the game? Are we allowed, as a club, to make a complaint against the ref?
I don’t know but I do think some action is needed here.

A player who has done something dangerous, deliberate or not, has to be seen to be punished so the same thing does not happen again.

If we go on like this then it will be a matter of time before a player is killed on the pitch.

I watch football to watch a match, not see X rated foul play go unpunished.

There has to be a follow up to this, the ref must be held to account.

Exactly. You're not looking to see who the dangerman on the opposition team sheet is, you're looking out for the ref. Something really has to be done about this.

They're human and can make mistakes but where was the damned linesman? And why couldn't he have waited a second or two, saw the result, then given the penalty? It happened with the Luton penalty. A mistake overturned.

Every game we're seeing the same problems and it has to end.

Some of his stats make interesting reading.
1. Reffed no championship games after May 2016 until August 2019. Was he demoted?
2. Sent off 2 Boro players McNair and Browne at Swansea in his only other Boro game in that time i.e. since May 2016

Dont know about being demoted but he is one of the more “experienced” on the roster. He was the idiot who sent off Ayala at Burnley when we beat them 1-0 in 2014-15. Remember some ridiculous homer decisions in that game and he played 8 mins of injury time for no reason.

I'd like to think of myself as a reasonable, fair-minded man, but honestly, I've absolutely had it with referees. I'm now at the point where every time I hear or see a story about a referee being attacked, punched or verbally abused, no matter who the culprit is, my first thought is "the ref probably deserved it". My friends tell me my attitude towards referees is over the top, immature and not in keeping with my usual demeanour. But decades of supporting the Boro will do that to you. I've been angry before, I'm angry tonight, and no doubt I'll be angry again very soon.
