Can you imagine what Winston Churchill would say about that idiocy ( one of those parties ) ?Even as a dedicated Americophile, I think it's one of those ridiculous things that have come across the pond and being accepted in British culture.
DittoI have an extensive list
I’m seriously contemplating getting a slick little 2 berth camper van and taking off ! HonestlyDitto
Source for this story?Simultaneously ignoring lockdown rules in Italy to open up all day and night. Something similar happening in Poland too

Yeah sure just ask the Nazi’s !!Probably something offensive and racist most probably. Using Churchill as a barometer of what is right and wrong is a slippy slope.

It appears to have been widely shunned by our media, probably to prevent anyone getting any ideas, but if you Google Italian Restaurants defy lockdown, there are numerous links and Twitter pages where they are using the #IoOpro which apparently means we are open. there's videos of the people eating in restaurants and chasing the police off as they try to enterSource for this story?
It spreads everywhere. It's a virus. It's kind of what they do.And those from hospitality, which across some of the worst hit areas was open until Christmas, being in Tier2, continue to deny that the virus spreads indoors.
I had a call from my brother in December from a packed boozer in central London. He was in there for 8 hours, his meals were two Scotch Eggs and a sausage roll.
Not everywhere has taken the same precautions. Offices and hospitality are places where the virus spreads. The social club I use and the company I work for have been centres of the spread.

Except in supermarkets or the houses of parliament.

Yes it's about as reliable as you can get. The individuals responsible for it are tweeting about it and sharing their videos and experiences, as are the people who visited the establishments. No reliable credible source?
You’re right I’m not going to get into a spat . I’ll nip it in the bud early and propose we agree to disagree .Are you sure you want to go into this ?
Churchill was a horrific human, and some of the things he said were abhorrent then as well as now. Just because he was the British PM when the coalition defeated the Nazi's, it doesn't mean he's some barometer of what is right and wrong which was your original point.
Don’t forget it’s back from its Crimbo vacation where all the little virus souls migrated to the Arctic for 5 days .Or schools (until last week of course), it also avoids building sites and has only recently got a passport allowing it to travel into the country.
Maybe you’re the link there, a superspreader Corcaigh? And those from hospitality, which across some of the worst hit areas was open until Christmas, being in Tier2, continue to deny that the virus spreads indoors.
