Welcome to the Brexit sir

Just wondering @SmallTown , why did you vote Tory? Wasn't it because of brexit?

Also of all the problems brexit will potentially create... A man having his ham sandwich confiscated is no big deal.

No it wasn't. I've been through this.

Not aimed at you Alvez but I notice the brexiteers on this thread are no way oast trying to defend it and on to the "restrict freedom of speech" phase. Maybe they think if we stop talking about the failures of Brexit they will go away?

Yup. The bendy banana the very first of the EU lies. That must have been an early prototype for the avalanche of lies leave.eu told during the brexit campaign.
That's my point, either side will use the smallest example whether it's true or not, to ram home their point.

No worries, it was a genuine question.

Hey it's fine for you to bring up and brexiteers should defend their choices but for me as someone who voted remain who's family is littered with Europeans the ham sandwich feels like a side show. 👍🏻

ST - Isn't it time to let go a bit?

As I've said before, I was/still would be a remainer, but the ship has sailed. It can't be ideal for you to still be [apparently] getting so wound up by it?

The UK could yet be very successful outside the EU. Obviously it's going to take time though.

Has anyone watched the customs programme on Australia. You cannot get in with any food whatsoever. A passenger on an inbound jet was given an apple during the flight, even that was confiscated.

No it really isn't time to let it go. I doubt it ever will be. There's significant damage being done to this country. I'm certainly not the only one pointing it out, there is at least a story a day on one failure or other of brexit or an exposure of another lie.

It's telling that the brexiteers on this group (not you but those that voted for it) can only complain about everyone posting the negatives. It shows that even they realise they can no longer defend their decision yet they still blindly belive in it. Its crazy.

'Letting it go' let's the Conservative Party off the hook. They negotiated this deal and if it's to the detriment of the country they should be critiqued on the success of this threadbare arrangement.

Britain may well have left the EU, but democratic accountability hasn't finished yet

So the constant posting about it on a football messageboard is going to do what ?

If you really are interested in re-joining the EU then join a political group with that as it aims, and start building up grassroots support and momentum, or something else proactive to push the agenda of joining the EU.

Just posting "I told you so" daily on here just seeks to further establish divides between Leave & Remain and people become further and further entrenched into their positions.

I say all of that as a massive remainer by the way, and someone who wouldn't dream of voting for the party that engineered the whole Brexit argument, because of a few noises from the back bench.

I have indeed joined up with some political groups. Also you're under the impression, that a lot of people are, that I'm the only one posting these things. Many other have done. We can't be helped that there are so many issues with brexit to talk about. We can't help it if people know their is now no argument for brexit and the only "solution" is to close down freedom of speech and stop talking about it. I'm not prepared to do that whilst it's causing so much damage. I also posted a pro brexit post the other day that was largely ignored. That in itself is telling.

What are you hoping to achieve through your "told you so" posts though ?

It's just causing further entrenchment from both sides, especially coming from a poster as "divisive" as yourself - you're not going to change anyone's mind through your daily postings.
