Middlesbrough Council Tax

I know it’s gone up this year, but for anyone that didn’t know, Middlesbrough council have changed council tax payments due to current situation - 2020/21 payments are not starting til June, so you pay June - March rather than April - Jan 👍🏻

I wonder if the following year it will just start from April, so its just moving the gap?

Would be a good move anyway, I know social media is rife with "they should cancel council tax this year!" comments, completely ignorant to the fact that the country still needs to be ran while we sit at home, but that would provide some relief in the immediate term to people.

Further to the above, I've just seen on Facebook that if you want this you need to contact them via the website. It's not automatic as some local councillors were suggesting last night.

Same people will be whinging at the lack of services when we all get through this.

Totally agree, they'll also be the first to moan when their bin collections frequencies are reduced.
