At a time of crisis this Government is FAILING

Nadhim Zahawi nightmare interview on Newsnight suggests we haven't achieved much in March either.

It does come across like you are taking the virus problem as a vindication that Tories are bad people like you knew they always were.
Simply irrational.

"complicit in state killing ?" - you serious ?

Comes across to me like the prima facie evidence on their handling of the pandemic suggests a degree of incompetence, which seems to come from a certain mindset. Plus without question the nhs could have been in much better shape before the crisis hit and that is down to policies enacted largely based on ideology.

That’s not irrational, it’s evidence based, isn’t it?

Not acknowledging that would be more irrational, surely?

Yes, I am. What should the the priority be between protecting lives or protecting business? So Yes, it's that simple.

"The apologists, those with blind faith are part of the problem and complicit in state killing. "

You include me in that group?

You include me in that group?

I'm not inside your head so I guess the question should be whether you include yourself in that group - my terms of reference are pretty clear.

Had a few things thrown at me on here but an accusation of complicity in mass murder is certainly raising the bar.

Did I throw that at you? I thought I made a non-targeted remark explaining why I thought those that didn't question the Governments response were complicit and explained why. If you feel you're in that group don't take it personally. It just means you're a part of the problem that's all.

Its b***ks supporting the strategy this government has taken, that's a fact. The apologists, those with blind faith are part of the problem and complicit in state killing.

Turning a blind eye doesn't solve the problem.
Are you seriously accusing me of being complicit in state killings?

Wow.

On what basis? This will be gold.

So you are willing to throw the accusation of complicity in mass murder to many hundreds of thousands if not millions of people who believe the government that are doing a reasonable job given the circumstances.

Because you turn a blind eye to the ridiculous government approach of putting the interests of business above the lives of citizens? I've already explained that.

A reasonable job? b***ks. I've already outlined the reasons why the government have done an appalling job. Business before people. Only acting when strongarmed by foreign leaders and high-ranking cabinet members.

What would be your plan of action?

high-ranking cabinet members. are the government

As already outlined earlier, we should have had a lockdown far sooner based in the evidence from other countries. Businesses should have shut up shop sooner. Instead, he waffles, dithered and didn't really make any decisions becuase he didn't want to risk alienating the business community.

For clarity, and as already pointed out earlier in the thread I'm talking about Johnson dithering on decisions as you know. His own cabinet had to pressure him to have a sort of lockdown.

I get that - you have repeated yourself several times and you have a point. Its the complicity to state killing that is the contentious statement that you have failed to defend. An apology would do.

An apology? You're kidding aren't you, surely?! My point is valid and I'll take no moral sermons from a guy who was trying to goad me into an argument just hours before I attended my father's funeral.

Was wondering when you were going to resort to that. I never expected an apology but the apology was not for me. It was for the millions of people you a accused of complicity.
Still - come the revolution eh bro ?
