Politicians who have done quite well during Covid-19 crisis

Trump supporters undoubtedly think he has been like the Messiah in handling this "fake" outbreak, and it wouldn't surprise me to see his ratings actually rise.

mind boggling.

Check out the third 6 March comment.

His rating has increased significantly since the start.

and people are buying this bull**** and blaming the Democrats for using it as a stick to beat Trump with.

Speaking to some colleagues in the US, it seems like New York and California are taking ti seriously, and some states like Indiana are issuing "shelter in place" orders, but lots of other states are not doing much at all.

I think it’s only natural that the general population thinks that their leaders are doing well at a time of crisis. They look to them for guidance and for some optimism that there will be an end to it all in the near future.

Therefore, I don’t find it surprising that, at this point in time, both Johnson and Trump are viewed as generally doing well - in many ways, it’s been the most prime ministerial/presidential that either of them has been. Even it Italy, apparently the public thinks that Conte is handling the crisis well!

The day of reckoning will come afterwards, in the cold light of day when people can reflect on what went wrong and who was to blame. I think we will find that there were plenty of missed opportunities, particularly in the early responses to the virus.

Then I think you’ll see their popularity ratings tumble.

You had me there for a minute.......we're very unfortunate to have the worst possible leaders at the worst possible time, they've both dangerous liars who've prioritised the economy over people's lives and 000s will unnecessarily die as a result

Trump and Bojo will come out of this smelling of roses - there’s nowt like a crisis to boost a leaders ratings. The Falklands war saved Thatchers job ffs

FC that may be true in the short term but if the fatalities rise like Spain or Italy the public mood and opinion may well change

Brandon Lewis for telling the truth . . . . that the UK intends to break the law.

Or Matt Hancock giving a whole interview without the words 'world beating' in it.

Odd of the original poster naming Jeremy Hunt. The Health Secretary who stopped stockpiling PPE as it was expensive and had perishable dates so had to be constantly restocked. It would have been his decision to scrap that idea and for the NHS to be reliant upon supply lines. That worked well didn’t it. When we finally get an enquiry that might be something he might need to answer upon.

Rishi Sunak has not done a good job for millions left out of the furlough scheme through no fault of their own, due to being an apparent fraud risk, while creating a system so open to fraud.

This is also the same person who stood in front of the nation and promised that no-one would be left behind.

He can though string a sentence together properly, which I suppose puts him way above the rest.

Maybe former chancellor and big out campaigner Nigel Lawson Who lives in France and had applied for French citizenship? French aren’t daft, turned the man down flat 😂 but no one comes close to the political colossus of Failing Grailing.
