For those who can’t see the double touch..

I think that's because he's kicked his own foot as he's connecting with the ball and altered the angle, not because he's kicked the ball twice.

Is the clip on Quest that is clear as day available?
The angle from behind Tav is the best. The ball was going in the opposite corner to the keeper dived but because of the touch it diverts and goes straight down the middle. Our players and manager didn’t seem to moan to much either. I think it was the right decision unfortunately. Shame

Oh yeah, of course the people who can’t see it, aren’t lying - 100% agree! What I’m saying is, they can’t see it due to their eyesight not being good enough.

Again, ask yourself, what’s more likely?

That other people can see this but mine and plenty of others peoples eyesight is just not good enough to see it.

Or

That plenty of other people have decided to lie and say they can see something when they can’t?

I’ve posted this on another thread:

Genuinely can’t believe people still think he hasn’t touched it twice.

Despite numerous other Boro fans stating they can clearly see the 2nd touch.

Numerous people pointing out the changing trajectory of the ball.

Numerous people stating the ball was clearly heading towards the bottom right corner / or keepers left before the 2nd touch changes the trajectory towards the middle of the goal. (Even the way Tav ‘shapes’ his left foot as he kicks it shows he has aimed it bottom right).

The fact that Tav (and the rest of the Boro players) barely protest. If he hadn’t of kicked it twice the whole team would have been going crazy.

The fact that Warnock would definitely have said something about it (other than a joke, about a linesman)

There’s even people on this thread accusing others of trying to be clever and lying because others can see a 2nd touch and they can’t.

There’s even people asking why we couldn’t take it again!

If you can’t see it, ask yourself the below questions:

Do I wear glasses?

Have I been meaning to go to the opticians because I’m wondering why if my eyesight is getting worse?

Am I 50+ and therefore of the age whereby my eyesight is naturally getting worse?
Is it strange that multiple other fans have stated that they can clearly see the 2nd touch?

If I (and others can’t see it) but plenty of other people can, is it more likely that I just can’t see it (as opposed to multiple other Boro fans forming a conspiracy to state that they can see it for no reason at all)?

If you find yourself answering yes to the above, it’s time to accept that it happened and you just can’t see it.

Apologies for the rant but it’s doing my head in that people are still saying they can’t see it despite numerous others stating they can.
Personally I think you are wrong, my daughter is 22 and she thinks it was a one touch penalty.

It does not matter what Tav intended to do or anything like that, he slipped so that changed everything, but he only hit that ball once and it did not deflect off the other foot.

That video clearly shows there was no double kick. So the video supports your post title. For those who can't see a double touch, here is the video that confirms it. Thanks for the confirmation.
OH, BEAR!!!! Not you! o_O

Definitely 'two touch' camp myself. (y)

I'm 28.
My eyesight is absolutely fine.

I can't comment on the other posters, but eyesight is definitely not the reason I can't see the second touch.
But it's a nice bit of ageism to imply that it could only possibly be older posters with dodgy eyesight that might not see a second touch.

I don't think the people who say they can see the second touch are lying, I just think they're mistaken.

It did. I am 25 and can see it clearly. I know because I have took that exact penalty myself before. It’s clear as day when it happens. The ball takes on a spin and I can see the touch come off his right foot.

Was your penalty disallowed - just out of interest?

There's absolutely no difference on the Quest footage from any other, I still can't see the second touch, even with the slow motion.
I do see his foot hit his other foot though.

But it's a moot point now anyway, the points are gone and onwards to Derby.

But it probably happened too quickly for the ref to be certain what happened and you couldn’t watch it a few times on the replay to check what happened?

Exactly yeah. Obviously Tony Harrington spotted in unfortunately for us in Tavs case. It’s a huge shame because sometimes you can get away with it but I won’t complain to much as I feel it’s the right decision. I am more annoyed with the decision not send the full back off when he took Folarin out and am more ***ed off with Hayden Coulson being so rash.

So are you saying that even after watching quest that you still don’t think it hits his standing foot?

I think the ref guessed in favour of Norwich, maybe trying to make a name for himself with a controversial decision against Neil Warnock at the Riverside, but I agree with you about the Folarin and Coulson incidents.

Well I think you are wrong. As you have mentioned to Heam let’s agree to disagree. The fact Warnock wasn’t too arsed says it all but let’s leave it at that.

It’s just a fact that most people’s eyesight diminishes with age, chances are I’ll be wearing glasses in my 40’s / 50’s / 60’s.

Of course, younger people wear glasses as well, but there’s a higher percentage of older people who wear glasses than younger.

That’s just a fact - Nothing ageist about it.

If any one follows one job on teesside Instagram go on that and zoom in on the footage. He touched it twice.
