Does anybody here train CrossFit, I have watched a couple of the World Championships with Matt Fraser seeming to be head and shoulders above the rest. They call him the fittest man on the planet but is that really the case??? How would he compare to say Special Forces operatives etc......can anyone actually be declared the fittest on the planet????

I think cross fit is the hardest to be good at. You need to be able to lift weights and do consecutive reps but you have to good at cardio too. I think if you win CrossFit your the fittest person at that discipline

would be interesting to see a forces operative train for 6 months to see if they can compete

Lee Howe who owns Teesside Crossfit was a Royal Marine, guess he would know.

Trained at the gym previously but working away meant i could not get in as much training as i wanted too.

I contemplated doing it at one point but given my injury history and the apparent high risk of injury with CrossFit never gave it a go.

It lots of fun, gets you really fit.. turns you a bit weird. It’s a bit cult-y (but a good cult)

Absolutely this. I used to do it when I worked away (would still do it in London but the fees are more draining than the workouts!)
There were a lot of forces guys at my “box”. Yes they call a gym a box no idea why. Apart from one guy who was a royal marine, you couldn’t really tell who was in the forces and who not. I loved it but it’s not great if you’re injury prone.
