I don't reply to him @SmallTown . I'm not alone there's plenty that have him on ignore.
Incase you missed it here's Switzerland:-

The restrictions they introduced at the end of October, along with quarantine requirements from France etc., seem to be working as cases just beginning to fall. Deaths still rising but will hopefully fall following time lag. Looks similar to what happened in France, Wales and NI and hopefully us too follow.Hey how are no lockdown Switzerland getting on gang?
Can't compare obviously they're just better than us at following rules.

The growth rate for cases has been declining roughly in line with the measures taken. It doesn't change anything regarding the efficacy of lockdown anyway. I mean the positive case rate was where it is now and rhinovirus seasons do end to give way to flu seasons normally. You do know this so won't address it, with any luck covid has knocked our flu season out like it has elsewhere.
367,626 (5th highest ever)Let's see how many tests are processed on the 18th..
OK, I'll ask. How come you were selective with your dates? And specifically only chose the days that historically have reported low levels of testing?I don't reply to him @SmallTown . I'm not alone there's plenty that have him on ignore.

It ,makes it look like you're trying to manipulate the stats to prove your point. It's literally just something I noticed, hadn't looked into the number of processed tests and was just browsing the covid dashboard and it stood out to me. Is that ok
Ignoring @Statto1 post I see? Shame

Well I'm not so
His last post was very Trumpian wasn't it: "You point out it looks like he's being selective with the data, because he was selective with the data"He's burying his head in the sand SmallTown, it's classic ignorance of facts from the tin foil hat wearers, it's like his "don't test, no cases" mantra, it's straight out of Trumps playbook. Or he's trying to be deceptive on purpose, which is a bit sick, during a pandemic.
The above either precedes or follows a changing of arguments/ subject or moving to a different location to talk crap. They don't respond to scrutiny.
If he's not trying to manipulate SmallTown then this would just prove him as completely incompetent of using statistics correctly, or he's just a troll.
Exactly! His last post was very Trumpian wasn't it: "You point out it looks like he's being selective with the data, because he was selective with the data"
HIs resonse was "Fake News"
No apology for using incomplete data, no evidence to repudiate the accusation he's changing things to suit his agenda just "I'm not" When it looks for all the world like he does.

Disappointing over reaction.Hey I'm sorry for seeing something and reporting it.. I wasn't under the impression that there was a weekly Tuesday effect on cases. I'm in no way Trumpian, all the things you've got wrong, billys got wrong no apologies and now I'm supposed to get on my knees and beg forgiveness, I just acknowledged it and moved on.
I didn't post oh look cases went up yesterday when they processed a **** load more tests.
If I'm Trump then you're Hitler ST.
Meanwhile back in Sweden looks like things are back to being alright:-

To be fair, the reason alvez was shot down this time was because he presented incomplete data to try and prove his point. It was relevant to take him up on that. The fact how was so unapologetic (until his bizarre OTT "apology" today) tells it's own story about how desperate he is to prove whatever point he has.I don't think it is.
Noticed it recently more than ever, if anybody other than Bear, Billy or Statto(as of late) posts something covid related it's automatically shot down, sometimes snidely, sometimes quietly, sometimes aggressively. @cliverd was even argued with yesterday even though he'd pulled his figures from the ONS website.
Whilst I agree that some figures stand up on their own two feet others don't. Look at the recent revelation about SAGE using stuff from Wikipedia to help with the modelling that brought the first lockdown in and yet still they are held up as the all mighty. They didn't even have a Coronavirus expert on the committee even though, believe it or not, this country actually had a group of them.
Whilst none of us on here are scientists, scientists disagree all the time, it's how the human race has progressed as a species. But the Government aren't listening to a variety of scientists, only a select few.
There is a wealth of information out there which more and more people are going out to search for themselves. Surely that's a good thing.
I trust he won't reply, but, oh dear, again he failed to realise Sweden adds deaths retrospectively, this has only been known for about 5 months. He's linking something showing a decline from 9th to today (yet they don't have all the numbers in for up to 10 days). It's like Trump stopping the count, before all the votes come in. The daily deaths chart gives an indication that they're permanently in decline, but keep an eye on the figures for a set time frame, and check them a week later, they're two different stories.Meanwhile back in Sweden looks like things are back to being alright:-
Another sad day for Sweden today with 7240 cases reported, their highest daily figure to date, and 66 deaths. Hopefully the restrictions now being imposed and pleas for people to obey the rules will lead to better things.I trust he won't reply, but, oh dear, again he failed to realise Sweden adds deaths retrospectively, this has only been known for about 5 months. Anyway, lets see where 11-17th Nov deaths look like next week, once all the figures are in. They're going to be much worse unfortunately.
But one things for sure, that peak around the 9th wasn't shown on the 9th.
Bear posted the below yesterday on the Sweden thread, which explains it better, and funnily enough there were no replies after that...wonder why. Info from this link https://ourworldindata.org/covid-sweden-death-reporting

This is Sweden's cases and intensive care admissions, they're up by 50% cases and nearly 100% ICU admissions, in a week. I don't think that's going to end up in less deaths, like he's trying to claim. There's no sign of this levelling off for them yet either, which is why their PM is pleading with the people to take more care and keep more distance.
