Data from the NHS.

A gradual rise.

I'm presuming these are occupancy figures for Covid patients (as the NHS never runs at 10% bed occupancy)?

A little googling tells us that, this time last year (pre-Covid), the NHS acute bed occupancy was 92% (93,442 occupied from 101,598 available). If this year we now have a new disease that, by itself, is already causing 10% of acute beds to be occupied, you must be able to see how this could be a problem?

Covid patients yes.

Unlike Vallance's stats which were hand picked from 29 hospitals these are taken from all of them.
Problem? I don't believe so as other ailments have shrank as covid has risen.

I'm sure they are, which leads us to another issue. If you're from Manchester or Liverpool and require a hospital bed, it's not much practical use to you if the spare capacity is in Norfolk or Cornwall.
Why?
The French and the Germans transferred patients around their respective countries. Are we suggesting this country is incapable of doing the same?
That's going off on a tangent anyways. The figures I've seen today from various different sources all seem to suggest a levelling off or even falling of numbers. The people who run the ZOE app for example are estimating that in many parts of the country the volatile R number is below 1.
