Jacinda Ardern - Resigns

Fabulous result and National Party and their Boris style leader Judith Collins routed. National Part deputy leader lost his seat in Christchurch

Yes Borofur. November 3rd next hopefully sees this trend continue. Consenses not divide or hatred.

Uh-oh, does that mean Banks and Wigmore have wasted more of Putin’s money, following their Irexit fiasco?

Maybe they should only stay in hotel rooms on the ground floor for a while.

Have family there and would love to get a visa to travel but unless you are a partner of an NZ citizen or an NZ citizen yourself no dice.
Is that true Cardiff? My sister lives there and when visiting 10 years ago I did a questionnaire at a museum to see if I would qualify to emigrate and was successful, my wife was refused so win win.

I think he probably means at the moment. You can’t travel to NZ as a non citizen unless you are in a stable relationship with an NZ citizen or a critical worker as they are restricting the issue of visas to “partnership visitor visas” and critical worker visas.

Sadly Jacinda has decided to resign with effect from February. She has just given a tearful address citing reasons that she wants to spend more time with her family and she also proposed to her partner.

She was always different to other politicians. She leaves a very good legacy I feel. People look back on her strength of leadership during Covid and honesty and down to earth connection with us in NZ.

She had her detractors on the right wing of the country but she won an outright majority at the last election which we needed at the time. A strong focus on what she thought was right and given the lack of deaths we had during the pandemic I believe she was right.

A very hard act to follow, particularly in the current economic climate. Hopefully her successor has been watching carefully and takes on board all the lessons she's exemplified about leadership.

That is sad news indeed. Wish we had a leader of a party over here with her fortitude and compassion. Just watched her speech and it was sad to watch.

Sensible timing though with an election in October it gives the Labour Party there time to bed down the new leader before the vote.

I'm glad she's gone, typical modern politician all presentation, faux empathy and kindness whilst the numbers of families living in cars was increasing and the drugs gangs were getting government handouts. She did well banning automatic weapons but her lauded covid policies all but killed small business in Auckland - buy aye she has a nice smile and can look caring and concerned whilst offering no support.
