Wasn’t the answer last time though was it? Just gave us a month of half price burgers and what not, then straight back into mass panic. Seems that it did nothing more than kick the can down the road a bit. Admittedly probably necessary at the time however.
Nationwide lock down seemed to have a positive effect on transmission, I understand it's economically damaging, but if we did it again with appropriate financial support for those that need it, wouldn't that be most effective? If we don't want to kick the can down the road we have to pick the can up. No EOTHO nonsense, no students at uni, no go back to work if you can work from home, no fannying about.
I'm not a parent so I'll never fully understand the importance of social interaction for kids of any age, but if we don't have a short sharp shock, this will last forever. That surely is more damaging
