PMQs

More of the same with Johnson yet again not answering a question, talking crap and basically riding roughshod over the unimportant working class.

How he ever secured a majority, even with the FPTP post system is beyond my comprehension.

I have no doubt that history will ultimately prove this period of British Politics to be a shameful low.

Listened to a bit and if it was ever the time that Starmer should be able to nail BJ to the fence it would be now...........he was failing miserably from what I heard.

Well, probably bring about the end of Britain as we know it.

We all know how it was Brexit and Corbyn.

Starmer all over the place again. We support local lockdown/we don't support them show us the evidence. He is the master of trying to please everyone as we know from his Brexit policy

And that is the most depressing part, he can't even take apart BJ with all this going on !!

At the start of Starmer's leadership Johnson, looked all at sea. Blithering and bumbling, sitting open mouthed like an uncomprehending insentient idiot. Now, although he still doesn't answer questions, he looks calm and controlled, confident and reassured.
Starmer dresses smart though, doesn't he?

I understand Starmer is playing a slow game, he doesn't want to win too early, he's got four years in opposition but surely could he not simply orchestrate a process of humiliation for the buffoon ? Could he not simply fix on one area to drill Johnson into the ground ?!?
Could he not tackle the speaker on Johnson not only not answering question but turning PMQs into Leader of the Opposition Questions?!?!?
I am certain Starmer has the skills and technique to tie the lying fat get into knots, could he not do that? just a litte?..please??

Well people keep parroting this long game thing but in truth it doesn't work in PMQ's. By the time Starmer finally springs his trap in 6 months or a year, people will have long forgotten what the point was. We need some of what you are asking for and heaven knows, with all this blatant corruption, cronyism and failure upon failure etc, there is a big enough target. And let's not forget that Johnson isn't the first in his position to dodge nearly every question because Theresa May was just the same.

PMQs is held once a week and lasts for 30 minutes only.
The Leader of the Opposition is allowed 6 questions in total and that includes any follow-ups to the PM's initial answer(s).
I think folk are being unrealistic if they are expecting Starmer to force Johnson into resigning or turn him into a gibbering wreck during that half an hour.

He was a gibbering wreck a few weeks ago. Now he is assured.

The Tory press are proclaiming a Johnson 'comeback ' after yesterday's speech. Meanwhile Sunak is positioning himself, because even the party membership are starting to turn. The answers to the first three questions were void of any meaning, but he fronted it with a little more confidence....of course the muppets behind him cheered as though Cicero was at the dispatch box
Starmer is not bothered anymore, he knows he's dealing with a fading warm up act for who ever comes next.

Whilst the blatant corruption and failure continues, whilst the Tories continue to fill the pockets of their friends and donors, can we really afford a LOTO who doesn't care anymore?

:poop:Johnson is great big lummox who got away with acting one of Harry Endfields nice but dim character.
His voters lapped him up and are even dimmer than him, be difficult to get shot of those half baked basteds.
Do you mean that all people who Voted for him are dim?

He doesn't care who sits in front of him. It's going to be the same shït, only the depth will vary. He would probably prefer Johnson but....
