When covid came out there where videos of people collapsing in the street in China. I’ve seen some in Iran

I haven’t seen any in Europe and given Italy’s situation you would have thought you would have seen something similar there?

Anyone have an explanation for that?

I'm far from an expert on the virus but it leads to damage to the lungs and ability to respire. So it would make sense for victims collapsing. As to why there isnt videos in Europe, maybe they are being heavily censored or we've just missed them. I could be clutching mind.

I’d imagine the heat in Iran is worse than Europe also

In the summer maybe but this week the daily maximum in Tehran should be mostly below 20°C. Warmer than much of northern Europe perhaps, but about the same as Athens - and hardly sweltering. Lecce in Southern Italy is forecast to be hotter than Tehran tomorrow.

No offence mate but thats massive clutching - if there are countries that are going to censor video release it would be Iran and China. This day and age in Western Europe and with the usage of video on phones any "collapsing" would find its way on to media outlets almost immediately. The internet has too much fake news to start believing any conspiracy theories.

Maybe the italians just aren’t social media whores, if someone collapsed they probably tried to help instead of sitting there videoing it.

I was also thinking we may seek medical advice in Europe a lot earlier. We certainly had stricter self isolation moves earlier

Or more likely because we are better informed and that the vulnerable and sick are not venturing outside as they were in the early days when few understood what we were dealing with.

May I suggest because it isn't happening or that if it is they would be isolated incidents. If people were "collapsing" in the streets regularly as implied by the opening post it would definitely make its way on to some form of media platform.

Let’s wait eh, we don’t know how bad this is going to get and we may be seeing lots of videos in a week or two. Also, I think it may be worse in Italy and China due to their societal make-up. Both are very family oriented with older family members living with the larger family groups. Kids come home from school or you come home from work with a mild illness and Granny/Granddad are very I’ll a few days later.

You might be right. They may even be fake but we can’t know that can we? I wouldn’t like to gamble on that though, would you?

I’m not even remotely worried about the situation.
judging by my Facebook feed the same people who are panicking about this are the same people who were panicking about Brexit. Serial moaners

Tell that to the 10 families that have lost someone and the many more that will Alberto FFS. thank f**k for the ignore button
