Not going well for Lampard

I see “Fat Frank” is trending.

They’ve bought some excellent players but god knows how they’ll fit them in the team, especially when they’re relying on the bloke who failed at Derby to make it happen.

He's put pressure on himself spending that type of money..... last season, he couldn't spend.. so pressure was basically off

Most of the signings are young, most of them are new to the prem.

It will take time for them to click, might be a few weeks, might be a few months, may even be next season.

Still fancy them to finish 3rd. Squad is far too good and Pulisic will be back soon and he's frighteningly good.

Man Utd should finish 3rd but they have an idiot in charge. Arsenal's squad isn't great. Spurs aren't blessed with a squad with depth and have an incredible amount of fixtures on top of PL.

Of the others, I fancy Everton to do well. They have the best manager (outside the top 2) by a mile and they've equipped well in this transfer market, plus they're not in Europe which is a huge advantage in what is already a tight fixture schedule.

Leicester and Wolves could still spoil the party.

I enjoyed Frank as a player. Great competitor, skilful, team player and always reasonable during interviews.
I’ve found myself enjoying watching his team struggle and his, sometimes, childish antics.
At the back of my mind I think it’s because he achieved nothing at Derby and was then given one of the top jobs in football. That kind of ‘unfairness’ never sits well with me.

Having said that - I think they will end up having a good season.... but would be happy if they miss out on cups and European football.
Doesn’t make me a bad person ;)
