Man City 2-5 Leicester

Defensively they were absolutely awful. Ake is no way a top tier defender, Garcia still too green to be thrown into starting premier league games. Walker is too arrogant for my liking. Injuries have played their part definitely.
They will recover once Laporte is back, although would not be surprised to see Pep splash the cash on a superstar defender, he will have to pay over the asking price though at this stage of the season.

Off the back of last season and now this.
They finished 2nd last season and were beaten by a Liverpool team that was simply phenomenal. Plus who would they replace him with? That City job is now a poisoned chalice. Much like how the Man Utd job was after Fergie retired.

Ake was a strange signing, £40mil for a pretty with the ball but non defending defender, they already had John Stones for that.

Rodgers got his tactics spot on and it was a well deserved victory, City have not addressed the problem areas in their squad from last season and given their resources their squad is remarkably weak in certain positions, teams are now more inclined to try and have a go at them and Guardiola seemed bereft of ideas on how to turn things around today with Leicester exploiting the same weakness down the channels for their goals.

Totally agree with that; they may well sign another centre back but Ake is an absolute donkey and always has been at Bournemouth.

I wouldn’t say it didn’t cost a fortune that squad cost about 300mil
No.
Schmeical has been with the club since 2011 when he moved from Leeds Ut.
Vardey cost 1M - bought by Nigel Pearson
Barnes has been with Leicesters Academy since he was 8.
Justin - A Luton town product from the fourth tier of the EFL - undisclosed
Almarty [aged 25] was bought for an undisclosed fee on a five year contract.
Tielmans cost around 20M [Prem player - we paid only 5M less than that for Brit!]
Mendy - undisclosed on 5 year deal
Soyuncu - undisclosed on a 5 year contract
Evans - 3.5M from west Brom
Thats hardly a "fortune" Priv (?!!)

They still have the likes of Wes Morgan [Free]
Mark Albrighton - Free - has played for City since 2014.
