PS5 Showcase

Re the graphics of ps5 games:

The graphics will improve as time goes on. The architecture of the system (especially the new ssd) will need to be learned and manipulated to get the best out of it.

Its not all about the graphics either, the liad times will be almost non existent, swapping games etc will be fast.

I would suggest having a watch of the Unreal engine 5 demo that came out a few months ago (which is actually running on the ps5 on the demo) there is a good explination of the potential power that will be available to devs to create games and environments like never before.

I will likely wait a year (only because ive got around 8 ps4 games to get through). But there will be a bunch of differences between ps4 and ps5 titles even a short time after launch.

Im interested to see how the current VR headset gets utilised until the PSVR2 comes out in a couple of years.
 
The sons bought 2, ready on 19th November, the digital one and the dual with disc,. Ones the Grandsons Christmas box from us.
 
Defo holding off. I have a ps4 pro and it's more than decent. I don't see initial games being much more of a 'wow' factor. After a year or two and games have caught up it will clearly far better.

Also as stated bugs will be ironed out and also cheaper and different designs. I may wait for a slim version and ideally want one in black. The white fecks upy living room look😂
 
Also, conveniently to be released the day before my birthday... I finally feel like a kid again... In my 30's... Actually well into my 30's. I shouldn't even be playing computer games anymore, should I?

Yeah I always wait at least a year or two before getting them and then pick up all my games for a tenner at cex. Much cheaper. I'm currently playing GTA V and MGSV which shows how behind I am.
 
I’ve had a PS4 4!years and not got round to playing it . I keep saying Once I’ve got other more important things done il give it a go . Once you start hours and days get lost

That is exactly why I stopped playing Football Manager many years ago. I was receiving trophies from the game itself to congratulate me on how much time I had spent playing!!! It wasn't hours or days, that's all I'm saying... Won the Champions League with Harrogate though. Just saying...

Why not? I’ll be 40 next year and I’ll own the new Xbox and PS5 at some point. It’s just another form of entertainment just like movies and music. I still play but not as much as I used to, don’t have the time these days with work, relationship and a kid but occasionally I’ll fire up the Xbox.
