Gone bust. Utterly criminal again and the corrupt EFL need to be held to account they are ruining football and this will be the first of many.

Totally agree- Bale on £600k a week and they go bust over £500k. Shameful.Wound up over what some players earn in a week
Very sad
Sends a shiver down my spine reading that Dave Whelan was putting in £800k a month to keep Wigan going back when he was in charge.https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ound-up-like-macclesfield-administrators-warn
Guy at work is a shareholder says they’ve got 48 hours.
The Macclesfield Supporters spokesman has been on Talksport at least three times over past months and it sounded like the owner is no better than that slimeball at Bury or the gangster at Bolton. This was an individual who has acted appallingly since taking over the club. Not paying bills, not paying staff, his manager and players. Awful.
You would have to hope there was a better way to resolve this - if only for the fans
Wind the club up and then top clubs fund the paying of all creditors to somehow give them a chance to start again freed from the shameful owner
EFL should be more proactive in helping Macclesfield for the fans - it's £500k while too clubs are signing and paying players for far bigger sums
Trouble is - the Premier League claim they are a seperate entity who have their own affairs to deal with. [I dont agree by the way].It’s about time that the bottom of the pyramid is helped by the Premier League and the FA. Needs to be a salary cap in all leagues not linked to income and a much higher % of money trickled down. It’ll make it far more competitive.
I don’t think there’s a club out there who’s blameless in trying to achieve success but that’s the issue that unless clubs spend money they won’t keep up- the fact that we’ve allowed clubs like PSG and Man City to artificially inflate transfers means we’re stuck with a system where clubs can’t compete at the lower levels- any decent players are hoovered up.We are all in this together. On one hand we can take aim at clubs paying x amount for players which would save all these clubs. Over the years we aren't any better. We are being linked with a 3M striker while a club goes bust, the 2 we have their wages far exceed a year what macclesfield owe. Just as we are trying to cut our cloth in years gone by we were a massive part of the wage boom. Guilty by association
The current Premier League - lead business model is unsustainable.I don’t think there’s a club out there who’s blameless in trying to achieve success but that’s the issue that unless clubs spend money they won’t keep up- the fact that we’ve allowed clubs like PSG and Man City to artificially inflate transfers means we’re stuck with a system where clubs can’t compete at the lower levels- any decent players are hoovered up.
